    Mario and Luigi, any of them.

    GTA Chinatown Wars is a very fun game.
    Seriously, New Super Mario Bros is soooooo good.
    Picross is strangely addictive.

    I've been playing Might and Magic : clash of heroes recently, pretty neat game,

    You could also try the phoenix wright series, chrono trigger, Hotel Dusk, puzzle Quest series, Picross 3D, just to name a few, the DS library is loaded with great games.
