I'm honestly just excited to play Zelda on the toilet and/or in bed. Let's not downplay the significance of this.

And no, this was not capable with Wii U if you were living in one of those weird situations where there's a wall or door between your living room and bedroom/bathroom.

I'm a simple man, what can I say.

In all honesty, this on top of the potential virtual console and first party stuff is what is getting me. I don't think its being downplayed as the mobility of the system seems to be the only thing there is say about the Switch right now.

In my heart of hearts, I was hoping, HOPING, that Nintendo kept it to just the portability, and only THAT. Simply play anywhere. I hoped they've outgrown trying to make us play with a dozen controller configurations.

They clearly haven't.

And I wonder: would they have made a longer-lasting handheld if they didn't bother with the fancy controller schemes?

It's all speculation, for now.

Just this weekend I was holding my Xbone controller, trying in vain to tell how many ice cubes were in it. I don't want to live in that future, and I'm glad Nintendo shares my vision.

In bed is how I play my 3DS and Vita. I'm way in to the idea of the switch for this.

The gimmick clicked when I realized I could play mario Kart with a colleague on lunch break. Now super hyped.

I use nintendo's handhelds the most, so this is the same use case I am most excited for. I prefer not to have to be tied down to my tv or one of my monitors.

I think it's going to be one of those things that once you have it, you're going to miss it when it's not there.

Guys. I'm not suggesting I would do the majority of my Zelda playing while on the toilet. I'm not hiding my Pokémon playing from my mom in the bathroom on a school day like I did in 1999. My average time spent shitting is 15 minutes. I'm just excited that I no longer have to pause the game and spend 15 minutes not playing. Thanks for the concern, but my ass will be fine.

Best use case for the Nintendo switch: it's a console. I can sit on my comfy couch and play it on my giant television.

The only reason I'm getting a Switch at launch is because I'm pretty much only at my dorm between the hours of 9 PM and 7 AM (I go to school in Manhattan), so I rarely have the time to play a sit-down console/PC game.

Being able to shit and quest is pretty compelling, as well.
