    Like the title says, I'm trying to get this game to run on windows 7 64 bit OS and it doesn't seem to want to work. I got the newest patches, but it just loads a splash screen then stops. I tried Googling but all I get are links to pirate it, and even their cracks don't seem to get it to run.

    1. Uninstall Windows 7. 
    2. Install Windows XP. 
    3. Profit.

    Try running in compatibility modes if you haven't already. I'm trying to think of other things you could try, but other fixes that I know of are fairly game-specific. 
     
    Have you tried running it in a window?

    @JJWeatherman:  The compatability thing is the first thing I did and it didn't work. Same with admin.
     
    The game won't even start up. It just does a little splash screen in the middle of my monitor with the games logo, then it closes and nothing happens. It's probably something that they would have to patch in, and since the game was not very popular I doubt they will ever take the time to fix it. 
     
    I was just hoping that there may have been something someone found buried deep in some forum somewhere to get it running.

    Did you install Direct X? 
     
    If it's an older game, it'll need DX9 stuff.  By default, Windows 7 only comes with DX10/11 and the minimal amount of DX9. 
     
    Go to the DirectX website and download the latest runtime and install it.

    @crusader8463: So did you try to run it in a window? Find the application file in program files and right click and select properties. Then where it says target, add a -w or -window to the end. 
     
    That helped me when Diablo 2 was acting up within Windows 7.

    @Jiggah:  Ya I let it install the required direct x stuff. I laways make a point to let it install all that stuff.
     
    @JJWeatherman: I uninstalled it so no. I'm reinstalling it now and will try it when it gets done. Should only be another 5-10 min. It has a long ass 30-40 character cd key written in tiny tiny text that needs to get typed in. So that's the longest part.
