    Pascal was created part of the alien's robot army to fight the android army created by the humans in Nier: Automata. He broke away from the rigid system he was born into to form a commune of nonviolent robots dedicated to learning about humanity.

    Overview

    Pascal is the leader of the robot village near the resistance camp in Nier: Automata. He is very friendly to the players from the very beginning and is the first taste of a kind and sympathetic robot character. An early mission sees 2B and 9S helping pass supplies onto the robot camp from the resistance camp.

    Pascal's name in the game is an explicit reference to real life French philosopher Blaise Pascal. While series lead Yoko Taro doesn't frequently talk about how to interpret his games there is compelling fan speculation on the relationship between the character Pascal and his real life counterpart.
