    I still need to get to work on episode 1/2 as well, but I need to be HL1 first. Hopefully the sequels are better, HL1 is kinda annoying and glitchy.


    But dude, play Portal. That game I know is like having sex with magic. But only for like 3 hours :'(

    I didn't care for HL2 as much as 1, so I never got around to ep1 or 2 either. Eh.

    Portal is pretty fun though. Not as godlike as people in here are making it to be, but it's fun.

    a regretting sinner your going to the first layer of hell, where you will join table with ingenuous philosophers and thinkers form around the world.

    Portal is such an easy play experience - even though some of the puzzles are mind-bending it's an absolute joy to play. I think you'd rattle through it enjoying every moment.

    I feel like I rushed through HL2 when I bought the Orange Box, and didn't really enjoy it like I might have if I didn't have so much shit going on right now.   I'm barely into Ep. 1 and maybe halfway through portal.


    Oh, and does anyone else kinda hate TF2  (at least, the console version of it)?

    Episode 1 is nice with environment shadows.  360 version has upgraded graphics but I hear there are mods you can download to get the same effect on the PC version?

    When I first played E1 on PC it kind of sucked, you use the flashlight so much and it's such a primitive effect.  Glad they upgraded the effect for the 360 version, makes a world of difference.

    I can't understand why you wouldn't want to play though Portal or Episode 2 though.  Just start playing, and you'll enjoy it, if you still like games.

    That's how it is, guys. Sorry. There are many more games that I enjoyed thoroughly, but these three are the only ones  you can use to present the narrative possibilities of the medium to an outsider, and games everyone should have played.

    its cool. fun for a little bit, but its short. 

    half life 2 and its episodes are fun but extremely overrated by fanboys world wide.

    Given that it's $20 pretty much EVERYWHERE, there's really no reason to NOT own it.  That's still one of the best values in gaming history.  Valve will never be able to outdo that...unless they make Gordon Freeman speak in Episode 3.

    Anyways, how does one go about describing Portal?  I mean, people are comparing it to sex...but I would still rather be shooting my wad with a fine piece of tail than shooting portals at walls.

    Instead, I will say that Portal is like watching your girlfriend and Kristen Bell getting it on with Olga Kurylenko - fucking brilliant.

    Episode 1 was kind Meh, Episode 2 is pretty great, Portal....for the hour or two you play it(it's really short) is a pretty great experience. if you don't play Portal, you won't get those fancy cake jokes people keep going on about...and that cube thingy.
