Hey this has been bugging me for a while. Long story short i am not sure which competitive game to play. I tried dota 2, but it seemed too punishing. I tried LoL but it hasn't really got me hooked up. I tried starcraft 2 but it was very hard to play. I tried hearthstone but it has the luck factor. I enjoyed them all but i am not sure which i should dedicate my time on? Maybe you can help me...

here are some things about myself

    -i never back down easily

-i have a little problem with teamwork

-i have patience to learn all the theory

-i have a passive aggressive playstyle(if i see the oportunity i'll strike with all my force)

-i tend to be intimidated by the huge amount of skills that you need to have in some games

    -sometimes i tend to rage

-i don't like pasivity in my games

-i tend to lack at execution(meaning that in theory i am very good but when it comes to practice...)

If you have more questions feel free to ask :D

If you have a tendency to rage then maybe you shouldn't get into competitive gaming at all, half of it is being a good sport. Also there is no competitive game that does not require either a huge amount of skill or luck.

i was going to suggest CS, but if you don't like passivity you'll be screwed. Sometimes its best to play passive.

Focus on a shooter then, you can almost always count on 30 (or 31) rounds in the magazine and whether or not those become kills is almost entirely up to you.

If your heart's set on a strategy game, try Wargame out. There's a ton to learn but the game is more about strategy as opposed to execution.

Finally, if you've never tried World of Tanks that might be worth a shot also. This said your execution, tendency to rage, and sense of teamwork are all things you have to work on in any team-based game.

If you've never tried fighting games try out Street Fighter 4. It takes a lot of execution at higher levels but you don't need to worry about combos when starting out especially compared to other fighting games. The PC version is really good (even though it is GFWL, but that will change when Ultra comes out in August). Even though the community is definitely way smaller than MOBAs it's pretty easy to always find a game but there might be times where there are no beginners on so you have to get used to playing good people and learning from losing.

Even if you dont like team play, Team Fortress 2. If you pick Soldier or Heavy, it's anything but passive.
