Persona 4 Golden is an update of the critically acclaimed PlayStation 2 role-playing game. New additions and changes have been made exclusively for the PlayStation Vita.
Show off your persona
Lets do this thing :3
From left to right: Boss-Starter, Funzies, Boss-Killer, Buffer, Sweeper, Lazy-Mode, Fire Specialist, Ice Specialist, Elec Specialist, Wind Specialist.
@mwng: :D
BTW That's a pretty damn good Tam Lin. He's probably my favourite looking persona, tied with Helel.
@selfconfessedcynic: Man when do you have the patient to do all that for your persona? I literally rip my hair out when trying to get the right skills on persona and spending time to train it! Anyways I hate making Izanagi-No-Okami since the compendium thingy doesn't register it,so I refuse to make a godly one even for a one-time run like for Margaret.
@TohruAdachi: Hah, the hard part was actually tracking down all the skill cards I'd need - all of the element specialists, Ardha and Izanagi-No-Okami were built instead of fused, I didn't even bother getting anything for them aside from Absorb / Repel Phys, then just paid the cash to make them how I liked em.
As for levelling, I did them on my 2nd playthrough (I set XP gained and Money gained to 5x) and I just slapped Growth 3 on them all at once and ran around Megatsu Inaba looking for the Reaper with just the MC. Fights would give you 15-99k XP each, no problems.
Helel I did on my first playthrough, but with the same method - growth 3, Megatsu Inaba solo - but that time at least I was on normal difficulty so it took a bit longer (especially since I wanted him to have Victory Cry so I had to do Lucifer first).
@selfconfessedcynic: Hmm that's actually really freaking smart. I'll do that on my next gameplay,and grind like crazy,and I didn't know the EXP cap was higher. In Vanilla the highest was like 65k EXP. Anyways I'll try that,what persona has Growth 3 skill card?
@TohruAdachi: I got it through shuffle time :P
But Saturnus (lvl69 Star) learns it at lvl 79. Definitely DEFINITELY worth the day spent. And yeah, I remember getting 65k XP and a million or so Yen from the King trick in OG :P - the higher cap helps the grind considerably.
Another way of doing it is to go to Heaven on a rainy day, the last 2 floors have Gold Hands on them (in groups of 2-5), and half the shadows in chests are Gold Hands as well. That way you get waaaaaaaaaaaay more cash, though the XP gain is a bit slower as it's more efficient to run past everything and just fight gold hands / open chests than it is to fight everything, unlike Megatsu Inaba.
I wish I could take a screenshot of my Persona in P3P. I have a lvl96 Satan with 99 in all stats except strength, that was only 96 I think. I don't remember its moves exactly but I think they were good too. Maybe.
As for Persona 4, I don't have anything too great yet but I do have some favorites right now.
Also, I've unlocked the ability to fuse Kaguya but I don't know how.
@selfconfessedcynic: I don't like training at Heaven,so I'll just go Magatsu Inaba. Anyways again,thanks for the help. I'll call you my Sifu now.
@Dethfish: Try fusing three Aeon's persona,if I remember how I made one I would've told you.
@Dethfish: Your best bet is fusing Aeon persona for example. Level 17 + Level 19 = Level 21 than Level 21 + Level = Level 30,rinse and repeat
@Dethfish: Lakshmi: (Judgement) Anubis x (Empress) Alilat x (Chariot) Thor
This FAQ is pretty damn useful; http://www.gamefaqs.com/vita/641695-persona-4-golden/faqs/64387
I actually got Lakshmi by fusing Kaguya and something lower in Aeon (got Kaguya by fusing other top-level persona).

This works too, fuse 2 persona to get the lower one down, or fuse 3 persona to get the next one up.
So Hunger x Hunger = Lower Level Hunger
Aeon x Aeon x Aeon = higher level Aeon. (works for all persona except special fusions)
@StarvingGamer: I was never of a competitive pokemon trainer since I only played for the storyline and stuff,but my brother EV trained in sh*t like crazy,he literally breeded over 1000 eggs doing research on how to determine the nature of that pokemon,it involved using the PC and dropping it in real quick or something like that. On the other hand,I never want to be a competitive pokemon trainer after seeing what my brother did.

Nice! I'm working on one of these myself. Playing through on Very Hard using ONLY Izanagi. Currently his stats are his level + 10 or more across the board, which makes me hopeful that I can get him to straight 99s as well, but in 1 playthrough (my skill list is very different though).
I didn't name my character Charlie, but I took Black Frost all the way to the end. Will definitely be spending the money to use him in my second playthrough.
It took me effing forever, but levelling in Very Hard made it comparatively easy as you get way more shuffle-times per level (so each level ends up buffing your persona 2-4x as much as it normally does). After my party trounced Naoto's boss and just beat down Namatame, I said screw it and set XP to Normal, then solo grinded my way to max stats (on floor 1 of Heaven you can rush your way through 9/10 battles);
I'm still trying to figure out what his final skill list will be though.
I've settled on Absorb Physical, Absorb Wind and Ali Dance as the basic set - everything else can change at any moment. The plan is to use ONLY him with my party in a Very Hard Mode fight against Margaret, but still be able to use him for sweeping if I were to NG+ again.
For reference: Once a stat hits 99, you still get 3 stat points per level - they are simply redistributed amongst the others. At the end I was getting 3 stat points of Luck per level since it was the last one to max out.
I need to outsource my decision making for these last two. Does anyone know if I should keep Angelic Grace (doubles evasion rate to all attacks except for light/dark/almighty)? If so, what would be a good thing to get rid of? I'm torn. I like everything.
As for this one, is dropping Null Physical for Mind Charge a good idea?
@Dethfish: For Sraosha get rid of Megidolaon - I know it's a badass spell, but it is highly dependent upon the persona's Magic stat - and Shaosha is definitely not a heavy hitter in that regard.
Angelic Grace is fantastic with high Agility - I've been using Nanako's Bead Ring (which she gives you for doing well at exams - dawwwww) which grants you Angelic Grace since my persona no longer requires stat boosts for obvious reasons. It's great and it becomes a game of "oh wow, they hit me" rather than the other way around. I don't think it helps evasion versus Physical though - just to be clear - so keeping Null Phys is recommended.
As for Scathach, well, it's a difficult question. Personally I'd say just get rid of Spell Master and stick Victory Cry on someone else for when you need your SP back - when you're late enough in the game to get lvl84 persona, you'd mainly be using magic for sweeping - and in that case you don't have to worry much about SP thanks to Rise. For boss fights, Physical is the way to go (except the new ones in the bonus dungeon), and that's the only instance where Spell Master becomes pivotal. That said, if you get your persona to >90 magic (eg. with Hachiman or Kaguya), having -Amp AND -Boost lets you pump out some respectable damage (see my persona on the first page). You'll be doing ~700 when Mind Charged which is comparable to ~750-800 from Primal Force when Power Charged (assuming you don't crit with PF).
ED: Sorry, those numbers are versus Margaret on Very Hard difficulty.
In any case, that Scathach is pretty solid any way you go. For NG+ having a persona like that makes things nice and laid back as you'll be able to one-hit most mobs until Naoto's dungeon. I'm working on a godly sweeper though which I'll post once he's closer to finished.

Really? I've never been sure what stat determined the almighty spells damage. I thought it was magic, but back when I was playing the original P4 I remember reading other people say it was strength, and then some people who said it was a combination of both. If it is magic then I guess getting rid of Megidolaon is an easy call. Bad thing is I'm pretty sure I dropped something good to add that. Oops

I guess Spell Master is the right choice now that I think about it. I've had no problem with SP for a long while now because of Cool Breeze, and Rise recently learned her 10% SP gain skill which makes it so I don't even have to rely on Cool Breeze anymore.
Thanks for the help. I like that we have some people on these forums who are way better at this stuff than I am. It should make getting amazing Personas way easier. I usually tend to just go with the Personas and moves that I think look the coolest.
@Dethfish: NP!
Also, as a side note, MAN I'd like Thor way more if he had pants : /
I guess he's manly enough to not need pants? But to that I'd say I'm with Kanji - it's going a bit far.
Okay! I beat Margaret with my team + only using Izanagi, thus completing that personal challenge for myself. It was, however, obviously less efficient than doing it with Yoshitsune, so I converted my Izanagi into a sweeper for use in future playthroughs. Along with that, I now have an end-game sweeper as well.
@selfconfessedcynic: Man! Where do you get the patience to farm the arcana stat cards? On the other hand,I'll be posting mine soon. I was really hoping to make Egyptian persona party,but the only good one was Thoth,the rest are just a mix,I'll be posting mine soon.
EDIT: Maybe in the future I'll try my Egyptian party again with Anubis/Seth/Isis/Horus.

Yeah, I was going to say Anubis looks cool, and Isis and Horus are legitimately good persona. I've never played around with Seth, but he looks kinda cool too.
As for time/patience - I've been re-listening to the audiobooks for The Wheel of Time, so I have plenty of time for my idle thumbs. Only a couple of weeks left until the 20+ year journey is over!
@selfconfessedcynic: Late reply,but yeah I ended up making a max magic stat Horus/Isis. I'm really proud of my Isis because one,she has at least 80 on every other stat,and it took me at least 30 Strength Arcanas to get Magic stat max. I don't really feel like making all the other stats max.
