Sometimes when I'm lonely I rewatch Endurance Run episodes.
Persona 5
Game » consists of 17 releases. Released Sep 15, 2016
The sixth main iteration in the long-running Persona series, Persona 5 follows a group of high school students (and a cat) who moonlight as the Phantom Thieves, out to reform society one rotten adult at a time.
Preparing For Persona 5?
Jeff, for what it's worth, I was attached to Persona 3's characters just as much as 4's. I'm sure Atlus will make you fall in love all over again. They seem to be good at it. :D
I feel the same way. I was really cold going into P4 when I saw the first trailers for it. Ended up loving it more than P3. I think the only thing Jeff needs to worry about is if they refine the old school mechanics or not.
Nothing can replace Chie, but I honestly feel that persona games have gotten better with each new game.
Persona is all style and story, and it will be fucking rad.
I'm afraid of what might become of the persona series if it made the jump to next gen. I don't want them to feel obligated to strive for next gen visuals, when really the art design is what matters.
Maybe the best thing for the series would be to release Persona 5 on the Wii.
I've never played a Persona game, but I think I'll check out the endurance run later ^^
For some reason though I'm very excited for a new one!
Like Agent Smith said, "It is inevitable." Terminator (of #3 fame) said, "You only postponed it."
ENDURANCE RUN COLOR COMING YOUR FUCKING WAY!
As for me, I'm holding out for the ER Advance.
PRESS X TO GET GAME NOW!
now all we have to do is wait for the game to come out in japan then we have to wait for it to be announced for north America then we have to wait for it to come out in north America then i can play it and hope that it is persona 4 2.
" The next Persona game should just be a Cooking Mama game featuring Chie and Yukiko. "Cooking Mama: Terribly Prepared Japanese Dishes (Starring Chie Satonaka and Yukiko Amagi)
I totally get where you're coming from Jeff. Persona 4 is a great game, and part of me wants to know what the deal is with the next Persona game, but....I'm just too attached to the characters and story of Persona 4. Not exactly the every Persona game...
I played and beat Persona 3 after I had played Persona 4, and I just did not like it even half as much. I didn't like the characters as much, and the dialogue just wasn't as good to me. I did like the Persona PSP remake a little more, I think the main reason for this, is I like a RPG where i have full control of ALL my characters, and that annoyed me so much in Persona 3.
All the right elements just seemed to come together for Persona 4, great writing, great characters, great gameplay, great art design, great music...the list goes on and on. Maybe they can match that success with Persona 5 though, because all the other games were older entries in the series, and I guess Persona 4 was just an evolution of all that, and they finally got the perfect balence with Persona 4.
I don't buy this rumor at all!
Not until I see this Dengeki Playstation article, anyway.
Chie character-action game sounds way more awesome anyway. It would be called "God of Steak" and the first midboss would be a tank.
OH, and you'd learn new moves from Funky Student, who would dispense ancient Chinese wisdom in the form of ebonics and riddles!
Yeah whenever I hear a piece of Persona 4 music I get all sentimental, all thanks to the ER. Never even finished my own playthrough.
Though yeah, thinking about Persona 5 makes me pretty nervous. What if they totally change up the tone from 4? Would that be a good ER? Would we still want that ER? The expectations are going to be so intense on this site whenever it's finally released.

"They changed the tone pretty heavily from 3 to 4 and both are monumentally brilliant games. I have faith in the Persona team. They've literally been making the best JRPGs the industry has seen in a fairly long while.
When do we get a direct sequel to Jack Bros.?
" Yes. Endurance run 2.0. Can't wait! Only reason I like this game is because of the endurance run. I could never play such a shitty game series like persona. "This post made me do a double take.
Everybody is entitled to their opinions, but you realize Jeff and Vinny both loved it, and that's the reason they got so into the ER so much. You're the first person I've heard on this site who called this series shitty. I didn't know somebody could watch the endurance run and not love the game by the end of it. That's what made the ER so great for me at least, I was addicted to the game as well as the commentary.
I felt the same way going from Persona 3 to Persona 4. How can you replace these awesome characters? But I look forward to meeting the new cast and unraveling their interesting/wacky backgrounds. It's part of fun of Persona. Now I just need the P3 remake on PSP to tide me over.
yeah, after the endurance run, and me being able to look back of previous iterations of the franchise, I would like to see one, where the story flows into the next, but like most final fantasy games thats very unlikely, and really even if they did it would be a weird side story arch based on a kinda messed battle system.....
" @Lambert said:they loved because of how shitty it was... don't you remember them talking about quiting multiple times?" Yes. Endurance run 2.0. Can't wait!
