It's kinda a good idea but it depends what you'll be able to buy in Home. Trophies are already popular enough as it is but I can imagine them becoming even MORE significant if you'll be able to exchange them for the odd PSN download or whatever.
Having said that if it's going to be earning you HOME T-shirts and stuff... well I doubt many people will care!

Don't get me wrong - something is better than nothing - but I really don't want to spend hours and hours trying to get a platinmum medal so I can afford a chair for my Home apartment.
If it was like - hours and hours getting a platinum medal so you could get Super Stardust HD for £1 or something I think TONS of people would be into that.
So ill have to play burnout online again with the "hey *inaudible noise* f**K *inaudible noise* KFC towels" voice chat to buy my fake game bravo TV for my fake house, meh i think a shack with a light bulb that went out in 1986 will do me im with get2sammyb
Currency for Home, eh? Guess my apartment is going to be bare for a long, long time. Try not to point and laugh if you guys ever stop by. I'm simply not an achievement/ trophy whore. All my enjoyment comes from starting up a game, and playing through to the end credits. If I get a trophy or two along the way, great. If not... oh well ;-)
Well at least it gives trophies a purpose, as opposed to just existing for 'bragging' rights. Seems a bit odd though, the people that will most likely want a brand new sofa in Home aren't really going to be the same people that will want to grind and get the platinum trophy.

I love the idea as well. The simple fact that Trophies can now be used for more than just looking at them officially makes them better than MS points. I look at like my PS3 has unlockables now just like all my games do. It's a great idea.
Booooring as long as they don't end up in store credits. I like to spend my time playing games or wathcing movies when i'm in front of the console not doping around in a virtual world hyping companies.
