The PlayStation 3 (often abbreviated PS3) is the third home video game console created and released by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.
Sony Motion Controller: Call It PlayStation Move
ive played eyepet and it really isnt that special, my younger sister loves it my gf loved it but its not my cup of tea. Plus the loading times between items were annoying. However i did make it draw a penis so money well spent IMO.
Huh....well....Ok?
I suppose the Wii was a pretty dumb name when first unveiled, but Move is generic as hell on top of it. I'm honestly surprised the name hasn't been taken by some cheap MP3 player.
I like the technology, but they still havent shown anything on the software side that interests me. I guess I will have to wait and see, possibly at E3.
edit: I dont see anything wrong with the name, it makes sense from a marketing standpoint.
edit 2: why would they need a classic controller layout on one of these when you have a sixaxis controller sitting next to you?
That street fighting(tee hee) game they showed looked like shit, but the spinning elbow move he did was impressive... when it worked on the second attempt. I'm sure all the Playstation Eye is doing is looking for when the tracking ball disappears and maybe some gyroscope stuff is happening too, but it's something you can't do with the Wii-mote and that's exactly the kind of thing I was hoping for.
Sony has already done a better job than Nintendo at getting developer support, so I'm on board with this thing for sure. I can't wait to see what kind of weapon Insomniac can come up with for the next Ratchet that takes advantage of the Move.
@Delta_Ass...replacing a word with the same word it's meant to represent doesn't pass for witty, on the other hand, this name does lend itself to an infinite world of jokes.
Lack of a full controller layout = automatic failure for this audience. Seems like they missed the whole point of needing to have something in your hand.
Curious what MS's eventual controller response to be used in conjunction with Natal will be like.

Pretty much. I remember shitting myself when they changed the name of the Ultra 64 to the Nintendo 64, and when they unveiled the name of the original PlayStation." Have all electronic devices had dumb names, and I just haven't realized it 'til now? "
