    That is just ace.

Yes, that is what analogue means...

I quite like the SIXAXIS. There's really nothing I would change about it. Apart from rumble, but that will change when I get myself a DS3.

Oh, aight. Didn't know that. Makes sense tho. Analogue measures all movement within a range where as digital is on or off right? If that is the case... the "D-Pad" really isn't a "Digital Pad" is it? :D I actually wasn't aware the D-Pad was analogue until I was playing MGS4 and accidentally hit it during a breifing and it had  degrees of zoom as I applied pressure.

Yeah, it senses how hard you are pressing on the button, which really works great in some games that use it.

Yeah it does. Funny how much is packed into a controller design that you really never thing of.

"I'll take the triggers I already have on my Sixaxis over those clip-looking things. That doesn't look right at all. I really prefer the shoulder buttons of the PS3 for racing games, especially. The analog sticks are what they need to improve. They're too loose, have too wide a range, just don't feel right when controlling in a first-person perspective.
    "
Yeah, they feel like there is no feedback or no actual anologue response, more on/off than anything.  The only thing I really didn't like was that there was no rumble in the first gen of controllers otherwise I guess they are fine but I still prefer the xbox 360 controller even though I feel overall the PS3 is a better system.

My biggest praise still of the PS3 controller is the D-pad.  Its currently the best one out there, same with the face buttons, I really like the flatness of the face buttons for a lot of games!

I remember when I first saw the PS1 D-pad and naively thought it was four separate buttons and thought it was gonna suck.

Boy was I wrong. Best D-pad ever.

I like the DS2 but after using a 360 gamepad for so long I hate the DS3, the convex thumbsticks, and triggers are annoying as hell.

I feel the same way, but about the 360 pad versus the DS. Just used to the DS, and the SIXAXIS/DS3 is just an improvement, IMO.

I really liked the Dreamcast controller back in the day. :D

No. It fits perfectly in my hands. I have though a 360 PC controller, but Im not to fond of it. Maybe what I would complain is that I have to clean the PS controller a lot because thats what I use the most :P

I hate the analog sticks. They stop working properly after a few months, which is lame.

I like the layout on the 360 better.  Although I know they meant to keep the same design on the DS3...it comes off feeling like they were too lazy to change stuff.  If the analog sticks were concave rather than convex...and the triggers done right, the controller would be as good as 360.

Had my (sixaxis) controllers for 1.5 years now and they're (sticks) just as good as when I got em.

I like the triggers and the overall button layout. The only thing for me is that the SIXAXIS feels a bit too light after using the DS3.

The only problem I have with it is that the left analog stick keeps getting stuck when I push it forward. It happened to my older one awhile ago and my new one is just starting to do it.

I actually just got off my butt last night and picked up a DS3.  Sixaxis definitely feels a lot different.

I used to say that I didn't care too much that vibration wasn't in sixaxis but now having used the DS3 it's like I've fallen in love with vibration again! :D

The controller is great except the L1 and R2 trigger buttons and the analog sticks should have been concave instead of convex.

I love the PS controllers. Honestly the PS controllers are my number one reason I prefer PS consoles over competitors for multi-platform games. No other controller feels right no matter how long I use it.

That said, my analog stick on both my SixAxes suck. One is ridiculously loose and the other squeaks like I'm trying to murder it. My DS is perfect though, absolutely the best controller I've ever used.

I wish we could get the "triggers" things here in Canada. Seem to be kinda pricey and scarse on ebay as it is.
