I would get Red.

Blue and my brother had Red

Thise were the good old days of playing Pokemon with your friends.  They should remake the Red and Blue games for the DS

I played Blue and Yellow.

I have to say red...even though I have all three versions and they are all great. Main reason, I just liked playing with the red themes of the background/menu/characters...stuff like that lol.

Blue

I had the Blue version.

I loved Red. Yellow was fun with the whole Pikachu thing, but I had a lot of fun messing around with Missingno.

Why are people associating Red with Charizard and Blue with Blastoise? What really matters is the pokemon  in each one thats not in the other. Anyway i personally choose Blue.

I got the Red version but I don't know why. Blue has always been my favorite color... weird...

i remember getting yellow and being so hyped, then realising it was same has others except it comes with an anoying yellow mouse that follows you every where
