I just started it yesterday after loving the first one and I'm glad you are kind of echoing my feelings. I'm at the hospital and I may already bounce off. There's nothing worse than the hero of the last game/book/movie being treated like scrub-tier because no one knows who he is or has done. That first hour is insufferable.
So glad I stopped subscribing to whatever this site is.
There is a lot on the site that is worth supporting (which I do), but I can only hope this isn't taking up the resources of good content because this is truly terrible.
I'm glad people like this but I reallyreally don't. I get the satire, but the combination of being 3x too long and the cadence of the narration is too much to bear. I'll actively avoid this.
I got Septerra for like $1 at Big Lots(?) in '99. The only memory I have was that the dialogue language kept changing and I had so many game breakers in the first hour that I couldn't play it.
This is the first post I've seen anyone talk about it.
