I think Vinny was spot on. Being a fan of something is fine, like what you want to like. What is not fine is jumping other peoples shit for not liking what you like, or vice versa. I know the hive mind is popular right now, and everyone is drawing lines in the sand over every dumb thing, but other peoples opinions should not threaten your ability to like or dislike something in any way.
After the first few videos I saw and MGS5 souring me on Kojima a bit there was little chance I was going to buy Death Stranding. The first hour of this podcast sealed the deal. Thanks for a great show.
@moda: Neither of those are questions. Two different teams making the same game 13 times with slight variations in 13 years and not getting called on it bothers me. If it doesn't bother you, awesome, to each their own.

I don't care if people like what I like, and if someone does they have more immediate concerns than video games. Kind of like people who swing their opinion around like a cudgel.I just don't like when some things are reduced down to their base elements and some are not.
I hate the map in Borderlands 3, hate it, my least favorite part of the game. However they have made a lot of quality of life improvements throughout. The skill trees being more flushed out and having more options is nice. The movement doesn't feel so Frankenstein, and the gunplay is still fun and a bit faster, The humor is loud and boring but easy to ignore.
I think a lot of fans are defensive because a lot of the criticism is inconsistent with other series. For instance, comparing it to series that has 6 plus biyearly entries for 13 years seems a little unfair, but at the end of the day, too each their own.
I am having a good time with this game. They gave more options in the skill department, upgraded some of the slow movement from previous entries, and at least the "humor" isn't as bad as the Pre-Sequel. To each their own though.
@tomservo50: Social consequences are just as meaningful as legal consequences? Really? That is my cue to check out. This is going nowhere and there is no point in continuing. You talk about people with agendas and calling them out on their lies but you are unwilling to even admit that there have been bad actors on both "sides" of this shit show and you came into my reply with bad intentions and assumptions because you "know" you are right.

@tomservo50: Yup that is exactly what I said. You nailed it in one. Grow up. My advice is the court system civil or criminal as time constraints and evidence allow. My advice is not making insinuations and assumptions because your particular internet bubble doesn't agree with another. My advice is anything but a public forum full of the worst kinds of humans who love nothing more than hearing how right they are about situations they no jack shit about. I am done here, keep putting words in peoples mouths it is the best form of civil debate.
@justabard: I never questioned the validity of the accusations., but thanks for putting words in my mouth. I said that airing it on twitter, especially in light of the last 5 years of excessive keyboard mob harassment, was a bad idea.
I am not pretending anything, if people have to flee the application, somebody ends up dead, and all the while their family is being harassed by both sides of the asshole coin THAT is counterproductive.
