@onemanarmyy: thanks for the conversation, I don't think this game is perfect for everyone, and you may not like it, but to me Remedy games are what I wait for, they always put out something different. So when someone just give it a shit review, its just upsetting. I like this site bc the reviewers seem to care about games, and when they are just shit on it is upsetting. No hero, just liked the game a lot.
@miso_jeff: no i agree with you, I'm not saying they should take into account who's making the game.. I just think if you hate 3rd person shooters, you shouldn't be reviewing them. I think thats fair. Telling people the game is shit, just isn't true from a person thats playing it for the 2nd time.. and its a completely different game the second go round
Ive commented on your comments below just as my honest opinion, and appreciate the points.
The gunplay here does look really sluggish. (this was in beta and has been fixed in the updated versions) The other small gripe - you can pause time / speed off in a new direction and yet the enemies still seem to have a beat on you instantly. Surely they'd atleast be slightly taken about to see a person partically teleport from one location to another?
(personally, just from playing the game the past 3 days, Im not sure why this is a complaint, when I would rush into a new direction I instantly had the upper hand) The further you go along the more powers the enemies have, so maybe because they know your powers, they can rush ahead of you.

I don't understand what you mean, the thing is they can only show parts of the game until its released bc of spoilers so they can't show all the shooting, if you read the nerdiest review, they gave it a bad review at first and then once they finished the game they had changed their mind. If your talking about graphics, it seemed fine to me and I have a large tv. Looked great.
This game has more unlikable mindless chatter than even Galak-Z.
I agree, I like/dislike that about Remedy, they want you to really understand everything about time travel, because they actually had a nasa type scientist teach them about is.. I think it can be overdone.. but also understand and I can look past it. It becomes less the farther you get along.
The gameplay just seems really tedious and mediocre, it's not grabbing me like I wish it would.
I think thats completely personal preference, I would say get further into the game, the beginning starts slow and the first act could have more action, but I loved it as I got further in, but understand your point!
Yeah, watching people play shooters with a gamepad, in a video that seemed to struggle to maintain 20fps is doubly-painful. Doesn't help that the game also seems to have heavy inertial physics going on, where the player character is constantly lumbering from encounter to encounter.

This i don't really agree with, awful, as in easy or.. because I felt the shooting was different per weapon, and was really great
the gunplay looks reeeeal real bad. bullet sponge enemies, with wide spray guns, and NO auto-aim?! the heeeell??
They are bullet sponges, but thats not how they add difficulty, its actually hard to shoot some of them, its a game that you have to use your powers to kill the enemies, and I would say it doesn't take much to kill them you just have to get to them to do it. They have guys with gear on that they don't necessarily need more hits, you just have to hit them at their weakness point.
The herky jerky animation when Drew stops/turns, combined with the camera being maybe a tooch too close to Jack's shoulder, is making me nauseous.
This didn't bother me, I think there is a setting where you can be farther away from his shoulder, bc I didn't feel to close at all.

Man, I wanted to like this game just because of Remedy, but this looks generic and boring af. Auto-cover, jittery yet stiff shooting animations, boring fake-Mass-Effect powers... I will wait for Alan Wake 2
well, you might have to wait a while, its a fun game, and from someone thats replaying it this weekend its worth it! I would give it a second thought.
As you can see, there are enough people who have their problems with the gameplay of quantum break. Clearly, Jeff wasn't impressed with that part neither. That seems fair to me.
I agree with is points I just don't agree with the rating, it really doesn't deserve 2 starts, 3 is more accurate for the problems above.. but in my opinion i didn't agree with most. Broken games get 2 stars. I like reading reviews from this site and this one just struck a nerve bc he reviews bad things and gives them 4 stars, when stating they are bad.. this isn't bad.
Then the story. I can acknowledge that the storypart of this game might make it really fun to follow. But that's a very personal thing. It either grabs you or not. If it does, sitting down 20 min to watch some story after playing a bit is totally okay. If the story doesn't grab you, those interludes only make you dislike the game more. At least, Jeff explained in the review why the story didn't work for him, and those reasons seem valid to me. Going on an internet crusade doesn't seem warranted, because it's a well witten review that explains where he's coming from.
We can agree to disagree, Im not going on a crusade I just love this site, and when people just throw reviews out there that are just for attention it bothers me. This is defiantly a game for people that like Remedy games, they are specific and fun in their own way. Was just disappointed, bc there are people that would like to play Remedy games, and this guy just shit on a company that fights to be different, and I would hate for them to not get funding for another game bc of a biased bad review!

Its like if before I went to a mexican restaurant, hating mexican... guess how I'm going to feel when I walk out.. still hating mexican. Would that be fair of me to review the mexican place, saying its awful... when clearly even if it was the best in town, i would hate it? I just feel the review is unfair.
@e30bmw: no its just obvious, bad reviews get attention, and people that like straight shooter games won't like this one as much because it actually has a story. So no not Trump he makes shit up mine in based on facts, he is only 1 of 3 BAD reviews about this game, hence why people keep saying that he's going to have extra comments today.. hence he's getting attention. or he just doesn't like these types of games... and therefor shouldn't be trashing them
