The people I played with over the years all stopped playing, so every time I resubscribe I'm in an empty inactive guild. I'll probably check out the expansion either way, it's just a question on how much I actually engage with it.
I don't quite see the issue here, though I'm not a veteran MOBA player. You can't buy gold with real money, and once you get to account level 10 (which doesn't take very long) all gold and quest unlocks just go toward cosmetic things or purchasing heroes. But if this feature isn't quite right, they'll scrap it and replace it with something else. I'm glad they're adding a bit more depth and customization to the game without having to add something like an item shop.
I got in about 6 weeks ago (NA). I never got into any other MOBAs despite trying LoL several times, but it never clicked. I instantly got this one though and am excited for it to launch. I was hooked for about a week and the only reason I'm not playing more now is because it's in technical alpha and progress and unlocks will be reset many times. Also some of the people I'd play with don't all have keys yet.
Current Samsung EVOs have been on sale a ton lately because of a new line of them coming out soon. I would get a 250GB SSD for your OS and current games your playing, then use Steam Mover to move the data over to a hard drive. I have a 120GB SSD right now, but with games starting to get larger, I'm starting to only be able to fit 2 or 3 at a time on them which is starting to annoy me.
Hopefully the Chromecast can handle it, and then assuming GB uploads 60FPS to Youtube, I could get 60FPS quicklooks on the couch without having to download videos in advance.
I have some trading card wallet money built up so I might finally get Borderlands 2 and/or AC4. Probably some random indie stuff too, though I probably haven't launched the stuff I bought from the winter sale yet.
