Um, did anyone else see this face texture in the wall during some of the ME:A stuff? Around 8:18 in this video.

No Caption Provided

What.

The wall is sad that it's trapped in Mass Effect Andromeda

Wow, it's like they didn't learn anything from the Wii U. This is going to be the same thing, you can already see it. It's going to be another trickle of Nintendo releases and barebones third party support. No one is going to want to develop for their underpowered special-snowflake console when they can aim for cross platform PC/PS4/XB1. Or hell, even an exclusive to any one of those three platforms would probably sell better. Maybe Nintendo should get out of the console business.

I enjoy 2D fighting games but never felt a desire to get really good at any particular one. What I'm really excited about is the Souls inspired trend towards strategic third person combat in games. For Honor in particular is like a third person fighting game. I don't know how the fighting game community views it, but to me it seems to have all the basic ingredients of a game like that. I think the open environments with multiple allies and opponents makes it more interesting than 1v1s on a 2D plane. Even PVP in Souls, which lacks the balance and depth to make it a true competetive game, feels tactically rich because of the possibilities afforded to you by positioning in the environment, and visceral because of the up close view of you and your opponent.

It's a shame that such interesting and cool art design has been paired with terrible F2P nonsense. They could have made a really special game otherwise. Also, who in their right mind would pay real money for temporary effects (as short as 15 minutes!) in a video game??

I will say, I find it humorous that people are seeing this as a critique of communism when it's actually capitalism that ruins it. If they weren't trying to squeeze money out of you at all times it wouldn't be so bad. Not that I'm a fan of communism, just saying. It's the worst of both worlds!

Holy shit, can we stop talking about Dan? I don't understand how you can call someone stupid for not knowing something that has ZERO impact on your life ever. I've forgotten a lot of things I learned im school simply because I have never needed that information since I took the class. Intelligence does not equal the amount of trivia that you know. I'm sure Dan was taught the difference between mammals and birds in school; that doesn't garuantee he will remember it forever, particularly when he will never in his life need that information again. Please stop acting like this is some grand failure on the part of Dan or the American education system. And please talk about the game maybe?

The actual gameplay here seems rather boring outside of all the cool outer space window dressing. Flying from planet to planet is like griffon rides in WoW: cool at first, but you're not really doing anything and eventually it's just something you have to do in between actual gameplay parts. Except in WoW, there's somewhat interesting gameplay sandwiched between those griffin rides. If you took the griffon rides out of WoW and made them into instant teleports, it would still be a solid game. If you took space travel out of No Man's Sky and just pressed a button to switch planets, I feel like no one would care about the game. TL;DR: The main thing attracting people to this game is a gimmick that's going to get old fast.

People are complaining about how Dan played but I challenge you to find a video of this game that makes it look good, whether it is being played "correctly" or not. The interaction with NPCs is awkward and the rest of the game is just rummaging through trash cans so you can refill meters.
