I spend all this time defending settlements and building out their resources - is there any end game to all this? When do I get the unlock for being super good at settlements?
If GamerGate is really about journalistic ethics that are apparently so bad, I don't understand why they're using the promotion of some no-name, small-time indie game as their rallying cry. This is the most damning indictment of the whole thing in my opinion - if things were really so bad and it was really just about journalistic ethics, they'd find a bigger fish to fry.
I'm all for giving developers freedom, but it's nice being able to get on my PS3, see who's online, and then join other people if they're playing a game I like. If you don't have any sort of centralized system for online, you can't do that.
@Hardgamer: As an American sports fan who knows a lot of other American sports fans I think my opinion might be reasonable on this topic. I don't think American sports fans consider soccer to be a non-real sport. We certainly understand that it is obviously a valid sport. Those that don't are idiots. But many of us just don't like watching it. I know I personally don't like watching it because of the rampant flopping that I see. I can't count how many times I see a soccer player clearly feigning an injury to get the officials' attention. It is classless and is irritating to watch as a spectator. But as for sports fans (I can't account for non-sports fans) in America we consider soccer to be a sport just as much as soccer fans.
Also, I agree with this. Sure, people occasionally take advantage of the rules in American Football, but not nearly to the same degree as is done in Soccer.
