@blacklab: I had to do some searching to find it because it turns out there's like a thousand things called Icebound, including a VN on steam. The full name is "The Ice Bound Concordance" - http://www.ice-bound.com/

It might be a good idea for @vinny or someone else to mention that in the show notes so other people don't get confused like you and I did.

Edit: Thanks Austin! Apologies if that sounded nitpicky, but I really did have some trouble finding it.

@wandrecanada: Absolutely. Also, this game is just fucking HARD, even on Subsonic (which is this game's 50cc equivalent). I had to redo cups dozens of times to get 1st and even then it was through the skin of my teeth. Supersonic (100cc) seems absolutely brutal - you basically have to be flawless to get into the top three. I can't really blame Alex for fucking up.

@theotherbrad: There's another company called Spaarc Unlimited which I have to imagine is a nod to Spark Unlimited. I wouldn't be surprised if the other company names were references too.

This might sound weird, but I'm kind of bummed that a bunch of old browser games I spent so much time on in elementary school might be lost to time. For example, Yahoo Games used to have these multiplayer games they called "parlor" games, and while most of them were stuff like Blackjack, chess, etc. there was one called Yahoo Towers that was like this weird mix of Tetris and Columns - the main goal was to link together same colored blocks, but there was also a secondary goal where if you could get a row with "YAHOO" in letters you'd get a bonus. Also, it had head-to-head multiplayer which was pretty cool. I spent a TON of time playing Towers as a kid. There's a video of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwdLR-9bky4

About a year ago Yahoo announced they were taking all of their parlor games offline, and with it went Yahoo Towers. The game had online code that was server side so it can't be archived like a lot of flash and java games, and it's kind of a bummer that a game I remember fondly from my childhood is just...gone. I've heard some fans are trying to make an unofficial re-release, which is better than nothing, but it sounds like the original game is just lost forever outside of video, which is kind of crazy.

I would say at least do Rondo and Bloodlines and stop there, because at that point they'll have done all of the "essential" classic Castlevanias. I haven't played Dracula X SNES but I've heard enough negative things about it that I don't think anyone would be heartbroken if it was skipped.

Symphony is great and all but also it's a cakewalk and part of the charm of Vinnyvania is seeing Vinny struggle with the challenges. Also I feel like watching someone play a Metroidvania isn't nearly as interesting as watching someone play a difficult platformer.
