I was hoping you guys chose BotW's Hyrule as best world. It's such a rich and perfectly designed place it's a shame it probably won't be used for anything other than this game. I think this world is just a perfect sandbox for a lot of stuff. Imagine a Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing game in this setting, or like a real front to back RPG... I really, really hope they do something more with it because as great as BotW is, it would be a shame to just not anything more with a canvas like this version of Hyrule.
@mattgiersoni: Thanks for the info, I'll keep it in mind - maybe don't need a PC after all. As for Bethesda games, Skyrim was the only one that really did it for me, and it's I believe one of the best games ever made. I don't like post-apocalyptic scenarios in general so never could get into Fallout. Oblivion... well, I did my best to like it, and it certainly is a great game, but I came to it after Skyrim, so all I could see was what they got right in Skyrim that wasn't in Oblivion.
@mattgiersoni: I dunno about a console version, these games almost never work with a controller setup. I tried playing that last Dragon Age game on a PS4 and whenever it got to the top-down tactical stuff I just couldn't handle it if was so infuriating trying to do with sticks what is supposed to be done with a mouse. There is a PS4 version of Pillars of Eternity and I'm both really curious and terrified. Playing as an undead lizard has that Elder Scrolls vibe and sounds very appealing. Maybe one day I'll just get a PC, the games ain't going anywhere.. :)
Also, if you like undead lizard wizards you should absolutely watch the Skyrim pre-launch shows on the site. It's an entire night of Dave Snider and Ryan Davis running around Oblivion in the form of a lizard wizard. (Saw you say you're new to the site, dunno if you got to it already or not.)
I played the original Divinity, but haven't had a PC since so I'm probably missing out on a lot of that kind of RPG. Not surprised to see the sequel very high on people's lists though, the concept and execution are near flawless.
@capum15: Well, I don't really ever undock the Switch so I did the apparatus shrines with the right joycon. I wasn't able to find the flat neutral position no matter what I did with the thing. I mean, I tried holding it literally every way possible, but there was no "zero" position. People watching me play thought I was casting a spell on the TV or some shit. :D
