Singleplayer, a one human affair.

I tend to look to video games ahead of all else. Ahead of Movies, and TV. I don't find much to enjoy on TV, and my movies taste is well, a little limited. I tend to only like Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Video games give me my entertainment, my world to escape to.

When I dive into a single player story, I hate people being around me. I do not enjoy people talking during it at all. I just want to zone out and get lost in the game. My wife thinks its rude, and I really don't mean to make it seem that way. Its just my preferred way to play. I also do not like seeing to much of a game. I find that if I watch someone play it to much, I become over saturated and no longer wish to play it. Anyone else this way?

I don't mind talking about the game, but I always like to save it until after I am done. I will sit down and talk about it, show certin aspects of it, and generally answer any questions my friends/family may have.

Mm?. I mean that's all up to you. ~ But, I guess it matters where you actually game. If its in the living room, you're probably screwed, and guests take first importance. If its in this den-thing, or a bedroom; then you should be able to do whatever you want. Its just matters.

@blu3v3nom07: Oh no, I am not rude enough to do it in the living room. Guess I should have clarified that. I have my own game room. People tend to just pop in and start mouthing off about this and that.

@bolt: Mm. You're probably screwed anyway. If its just your wife, then, just let her know to leave you alone for a bit. But ah, this is tricky, I guess. Very much so.. if you're immersed and you like hearing the dialogue..

Start chucking shit when they do. It's worked wonders for me.

Try communicating, with her, duder. She'll understand that you need some private video game time (if she doesn't, maybe there's a problem). Just make sure Video Game Time isn't cutting too far into Married Couple Time.

Yeah, unless it's a casual no-story kind of game, I usually wait until everyone is gone before I play anything. I don't mind watching (as long as there are no spoilers) or talking about it though.
