I just got this today too, except it's not just a display bug for me. I can't download videos from the site anymore. I am also a premium member until January 2019.
Strange update - I left that incognito window open in the background and went about my business, and just now I heard the faint sound of Jeff talking (it was the new mailbag video). It seems that instead of playing and loading like it always did, Progressive is now giving me a blank screen until it is fully loaded - then playing? I don't know what that is about, but I am confused and would like to get it back to the old way so I can load it as I watch it.
I was wondering why Progressive wasn't working for me the past week or so. I decided to come here to see if anyone else was having the same problem, and sure enough, I see this post. Indeed, if I click play and leave the video for awhile, it eventually plays with the video fully loaded. This happens on both my Macbook Pro and my Windows 8.1 Desktop PC (using Chrome on both). I really want to know how to fix this, as it's very annoying to have to wait for the entire video to load before watching.
