Jason's been busy. He played fifteen games this week. Sure ten of those are demos, but still that is insane. Steven only played four games. In the news this week we talk about map packs, some good Wii news, a new Zelda game on the DS, and much more. Tune in for for the banter.
I, the editor of the show, would like to apologize to all the listeners of the show. This episode is quiet late and for that I am sorry, but when you contract a virus that could scare off the T-Virus it makes it hard to do anything other then sleep. So, what do you get inside this late episode? The NPD numbers for February, Sony gets more bad PR, Konami promotes Mr. Kojima, and much more. Plus, Jason buys the $10 dollar map pack for World at War and Steven decimates the Covenant in Halo Wars. Tune in for the fun.
Resident Evil 5 came out on Friday the 13th and we completed the story mode already. Tune in for our opinions on it. We also play some other games as well, as Jason grabs a bat and puts one out of the park in MLB The Show '09. Steven gets behind the wheel with the Wheelman demo and slows down time to shoot dudes in the face in the Wanted demo. Plus we have the news and a new top 5.
WARNING: The Resident Evil discussion may have minor spoilers, you have been warned.
This episode is a doozy folks, with Amazon getting in to the used game biz and Square gobbling up Eidos we do a lot of verbal sparing. Topic derailment is in great supply this week as well. Jason fights through the pain of having his thumb cut in two places, to give us his impressions of MLB The Show '09. Steven ruins a controller with Street Fighter 4 and busts out the air support in Halo Wars. Plus we give you our top 5 Most Anticipated Games With Release Dates Between March 09 and March 2010. Tune in for the controller busting fun.
This could be the year of the PSP, we tell you why or why not in this episode. Jason woos more people to the PS3 camp and does some killing in Killzone 2. Steven gets to the bottom of why Jason needs a melee move in all shooters and declares Call of Duty 4 the best shooter ever made. We find out the price of entry for the Watchmen game, Jason says no, Steven says yes. Plus, we talk weather and Jason runs off to a midnight launch.
This week we've got Street Fighter on the brain as we count the hours until the game is in stores. In the mean time Jason goes old school with Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection and he brushes up on his fighting skills in Turbo HD Remix. Steven's soul still burns for Soul Calibur 4 and he hops on a warthog to test drive the Halo Wars demo. The news dam breaks and we get flooded with 24 stories to send your way. We promise next week the features will return... unless the news gets crazy again.
Sorry for the delay folks, but we had some problems getting this episode recorded. This week we discuss Comic Con NY and what was on display for video games. Steven gives us his first impressions for some of the big name titles on the show floor. Jason searches for Alma in F.E.A.R. 2, then heads for Europe to play the uncut version of MK vs DC. The news is overflowing this week so there's no room for a feature. So, hop on that treadmill and join the fun.
This week the show may seem long, but don't be fooled. Only the fist hour and a half is video game related, the rest is about the cancellation of official UDE support for the VS System card game. For those of you interested in only the first half though, we have a great show for you. We try out the RE5 demo and discover that Steven needs to practice his teamwork skills. He, also goes through the roof with anger for God of War 2 and cools off with some World at War multiplayer. Jason hops in his DeLorean to go back to the future in Chrono Trigger and gets a beat down from a bag of bones in Order of Ecclesia. Plus, a metric ton of new game announcements in the news.
What happens when two game companies merge? They need a new name, obviously. Steven tries to help speed up the process by offering his input. For his effort, he gets gutted by Kratos from God of War 2. Jason consoles himself by joining the military in Valkyria Chronicles and by playing more then double the number of games Steven did this week. Plus we throw in our Top 5 Favorite Old School Game Endings. Its a long one this week, so kick back and enjoy.
