The second season of The Walking Dead had me thinking whether the player should create his/her character like an rpg.

Not a good idea. What made a lot of the walking dead so memorable was how much Lee grew on you as a character.

Some faceless person with different pre-recorded voices simply wouldn't fit.

The writers of the first season also said that the game would not have worked at all if you could create a character in that latest interview with Patrick.

I actually don't really want a season 2 of the Walking Dead TellTale game at all.

I think it would lose most of the magic the first one had. The best story (what happens immediately after the outbreak) has already been told as about as well as it possibly can be.

This is a terrible idea, what makes you think it will improve the game? The whole strength of the game was it's characters making an empty slate for a character than is a terrible idea.

No, as someone else here said the story was made especially effective by also seeing Lee as one of the characters not just as a player avatar something very difficult to do with a player created character

But only if you unlocked a set of perks and new weapons each level. And you should be able to customize your character with DLC skins, most of which will already be on the disc/download.
