I wish there had been a HD RPG Pokemon game with 3D environments (not Avatar 3D) and the adventure intact, but with Nintendo at the helm that will never happen =( There's so much potential with the formula, but they allow it to stagnate because it sells and it's convenient, like they do with their other franchises (though admittedly it's still enjoyable enough but it does get boring).
If you want to find notes and holotapes you have to actually look for them. They're just laying around usually. The notes that you can read should be way more distinct from the notes that are just paper textures to be fair.
