Ceaulix

Mazda MX-5 1994. Dad had one when I was in High School. I learned to drive, using that car.

@haneybd87: no, it’s been like this for over a month or so. Didn’t realize it till my bud told me he couldn’t find me when I messaged him my psn name on Facebook.

@wheresderrick: yeah, that’s it. So you see it. I created another account, and tried searching for Ceaulix and it never pops up anything. Glad someone sees it.

My PSN: Ceaulix. If you attempt to search for it via PS4 it will pop up as 0 Players. My friends cannot find me either. This problem persists while searching via the PS App or via the web. PSNProfiles can see it though. After calling PS Support, they had me completely format my ps4 and assured me that would fix it after re downloading the profile. It did not. Sony Support says the profile comes up on their end just fine. All privacy has been reset to defaults to no avail. Search me, and if you do see it, maybe post a screenshot?

@ravelle: You would think, with the way PSN database seems to work, copying the Steam method would probably be the easiest to implement. But i have this odd feeling that PS is wanting to mimic the way Xbox does theirs which to be fair is probably the best way tbh. But it could explain why its taking so long to implement. Im a C++ coder, not a database designer so my opinion is based on limited knowledge and theory.

@ravelle: have you thought about making a dummy account, with the pen id Ravelle, just to hold it for when name changes come avail? Then you could just swap the names out. Thats what i might end up doing with the Ceaulix Name.

@ravelle: Nice. Imma google that. I grew up reading Louis L'amour and the likes of Weinburg, Ghost Hotel in particular always stuck with me.

that does make sense, ill give you that. Some days, i love my kitty pen, and some days it's kinda embarrassing lol. but yeah, it's got some clout i suppose. Like you, i don't really associate with people not friends with, however games like Elder Scrolls Online sometimes make that difficult. Thanks for your input. I actually think your name is pretty awesome, to be honest.

I guess, now that i think about it is: Do I either A: run with kitty account, keeping my purchases, deal with the random trolls and wait it out until PSN allows name changes or B: bite the bullet and change it now, start re earning trophies and feel like an idiot when PSN does finally , if ever allow name changes.

@ravelle: Thats the whole point of this post lol. I can't figure it out. For the last 3 years on xbox people have referred to me as "Kitty" Hence why i ran with the name when i moved to ps4. I soon discovered a lot of the people i served with in the Army, were all on ps4 too. we all play together and i can tell, the name makes them cringe a little...lmao.
