A decent game, dragged down by some bad design choices 0

Role-playing games are going to have a hard time of it in 2012. They will be competing for gamer’s attention with probably the two biggest RPG releases of the last 5 years, Star wars: The Old Republic and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. There is hope for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning however, if it can carve out its own identity against these two titans of the genre and present something different and interesting for those players already bored with what 2011 had to offer them.At a glance Kingdoms ...

The Dark Knight Stikes Again 0

You might think that comic book heroes are perfect as video game protagonists. Already imbued with demigod-like resilience, a wealth of well explained super-powers, and villains that complement them like black complements white, they should be perfect in this role. Portals, gels, light bridges, lasers, a new friend and an old one 1

The combination of mind bending 3D puzzles, humour that was genuinely funny, and a clean and fresh aesthetic gave the game the individuality which set it apart from the dingy grimy look of other games of the period. All of this was experienced in an afternoon’s worth of play time and gave Portal a special place within the hearts of all that played it. If there was ever a hard act ...

Assassin’s creed: Brotherhood Review 0

A quality of many great video games is there ability to make the player feel like a total bad-ass. Assassin’s creed II is one of these rare games that had the ability to make you feel like a bad-ass and therefore when the time to pick up the sequel came around just a year after its predecessor it was inevitable that I would pick up a copy. The beginning of the games starts with Ezio right were he was at the end of the last game, deep inside the Vatican. A quick recap of the controls with your ...
