A Look Back At The Older Versions

CLICK HERE FOR SOME PICTURES THAT MAY BRING BACK A LOT OF MEMORIES

I decided to hunt for some older versions of browsers and test them on newer machines. Just to get an idea of how much things have changed. Even though, I am quite conscious of the change over the last few years, I am still surprised at how "primitive" the web was back in the day.

I usually don't care about browsers so much. I am not loyal to any company. I don't like to switch, if I can help it, but if a browser promises to offer me what I want, I'd be sure to give it a shot.

That said, take a look at some of the interface changes that browsers went through. It will surely make you appreciate what we have today, if nothing else.

@iam3green:  I started using PC a lot in year 2000, that was when Netscape was real popular. I remember we had Windows 98 and Netscape 4. Man, those were the days. Its hard to imagine internet without YouTube, Google (well, there was google, but it was more like a search provider for Yahoo). I wish I had some screenshots of Windows 98 desktop. To think that 860x600 was considered high back then!

i still have a working computer that has windows 98. it's really slow with pentium 2 1ghz, 60mb RAM, 1gig hard drive. just to think that was good back in the day. it just sits on the floor with nothing to do. i use it from time to time when this computer is broken and i want to surf the internet.

Post some screenshots dude. I would be good to take a look the interface, and compare it with what we have today.
