Point Lookout 0

Point Lookout is the fourth downloadable add-on for Fallout 3. Released on June 23, 2009, this DLC focuses on brand new locale: A Baltimore/Louisiana swampland that is bursting with surprises from the south: confederate style. It’s this new environment that adds a great deal of uniqueness and charm to Point Lookout, making it a memorable experience that adds exciting new flavor to the ever-expanding library of additions to Fallout 3.   You’ll receive a message telling you that a boat is...

More fun than a barrel of 'splosions 0

In late 2006, Avalanche Studios gave gamers the opportunity to take control of CIA super-agent Rico Rodriguez as he liberated the tropical island nation of San Esperito, filled with b-movie action and vehicle stunts in Just Cause. He was armed with a grappling hook, parachute, a massive array of vehicles of all types, and the ever-trusted “Stunt Position”. However, Rico’s debut suffered from boring and repetitive side missions, as well as several noticeable and frequent bugs as a result of t...

The plot soon thickens as a more sinister plot is ena...

Fast paced, pretty, immersive. 0

Mirror’s Edge is a first person action game released on November 11 2008 for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. It was developed by the Swedish company Dice, makers known for the Battlefield series of games. Now, while played from the first person, this game isn’t done justice by being called a shooter. Although you can shoot a variety of weapons, the main focus is a type of movement called “Parkour” where the goal is to go from point A to point B as quickly and as efficiently as possib...

COD as COD is best 0

There are a lot of things that go into making a successful thanksgiving dinner. Look at each of those things as a component in video-games. Sure, you can have the turkey by itself, but if you served that, people would get bored and laugh you out of town. You need some flavors, surprises, a good formula, some balance, and pretty visual effects to pull the whole thing off as a successful meal. So already you can see the similarities between video-games and thanksgiving din-din. Is it merel...

A Franchise Renaissance 0

Imagine a hidden-blade wielding assassin chasing his target at full speed on top of a roof in Renaissance Italy. Now imagine he leaps from one building to another, over a canal in Venice. Then, he grabs a pole, swings off that pole, and is now gracefully falling through the air. Now imagine as he lands, he skillfully thrusts his blade through the neck of his target. Now imagine this scenario is typical gameplay in a game with beautiful graphics, tight and easy to grasp controls, a dri...
