I guess my counter point is would you do real people harm if you knew it wouldn't actually hurt them in the end? Imagine you are stuck in a ground hog day scenario, would it be ok to go around killing people because you know that in the morning they won't be harmed anymore? Something about hurting a robot that isn't out to hurt you feels very wrong somehow.

Probably the my favorite was finally getting to see Dillinger Escape plan on their tour last fall. Cult Leader opened for them and was also incredible.

The other show that comes to mind is when I saw Converge open for Mastodon/Dethklok. I was already a fan, but was amazed by how tight they are live.

Gojira also gets a shout out for putting on a great show.

I'm going to try to avoid the general thread of conversation here, as things seem to have gotten quite heated. I think that games becoming more diverse both in they represent and who they cater to is definitely a good thing. If only because it will serve gaming in long run. Other mediums have only benefited from more diversity.

Incredibly sad to see Drew go, but I wish him the best of luck in his next endeavor. Hopefully they can finally get around to hiring someone, as the west coast office is starting to feel kind of empty.

I think a large part of it has to do with 1080/60 being the minimum performance threshold on PC for over a decade now. Sony and MS then marketed the current gen consoles on the promise of 1080/60 finally being consistent on consoles, but both have failed to actually deliver that the majority of the time. I would gladly sacrifice some image quality to hit the native resolution/refresh rate of my display any day of the week.

I was a sophmore in HS. Still playing CS:S nonstop at that point. I was also super high on the DX10 and Crysis hype train.

Rhythm games tend to be mine, specifically the project diva series. My quest for the platinums in those games have taken me to a dark place of patting vocaloids heads for hours on end.
