I find it pretty mad that some reviewers of other places didn't expect TLOU2 to overwhelmingly story-heavy and bleak. Perhaps it's just the state of the world around us that made it hit somewhat harder.

I love the story of the first, the tension was pretty unpalpable at times but there is hardly anything else that can do that the way the original did. I worry about the purported length of the sequel, is ~25 hours too much for such tension? I'll find out.

Personally I'm looking forward to the feels and emotional rollercoaster the story will almost certainly provide. The original is one of the best games I've ever played, but not one of my favourites - if y'all can see what I mean by that. I played through the remastered one last week for the first time w/ Left Behind (played the original on PS3) and thoroughly enjoyed the DLC. The game itself wasn't anywhere near as tense obviously knowing all the story beats but still enjoyable. It's the only time I've replayed it and expect I'll do the same again & with the second if they bring out a third in give or take 7 years time (here's hoping they don't).

That being said, the game lives on the story, the characters and the impeccable acting. As an experience, it was truly incredible, and I hope the second is the same.

Also, I skipped the TLOU2 discussion, just briefly heard Jeff's overall thoughts then went straight to the end of it.

On the topic of third-party switch accessories - I bought the exact same Hori attachment Jeff has, for about £30 ~ a year ago for Mario Maker 2. It is serviceable at best - and I would recommend against it if you are technically minded. It cannot be used separately, doesn't include a rumble pack, feels pretty cheap, the "release" button on the back protrudes so far that I cannot use my grip (those fucking joy-cons keep sliding off all the time without) and the d-pad is pretty horrendously floaty.

I bought a new shell from the "other" third-party seller on Amazon to the one Brad discussed and I'm delighted with the results. The d-pad is really accurate and doesn't slip onto another input at all, the soft-shell finish feels damn great and the super-Famicom look is a real winner. They cost me £15 and took about an hour to put together. There is no soldering required but some fiddly work with ribbon cables and screws/assembly in general. It is certainly easy enough and the set came with a QR code which directed me to a very thorough and easy-to-follow YouTube video for instructions.

I understand why some may be hesitant to take their current joy-cons apart and replace the external shell, but I am really glad I took the risk. I'd highly recommend it.

my only grip would be the white lines on the d-pad have worn down very quickly already, but I mean who really cares about that?

Nearly spat my drink out at the reaction to Coldplay. Brilliant.

Great stream again.

Man, that secret message at about 20 minutes in as to where Mike went. Smooth. Well, almost smooth. Vinny nearly gave it away laughing knowing what was coming.

Mike literally says I'm Polygon.

Must admit I was a bit bummed out this wasn't a co-op cross-coast thing with Rorie, Jeff and Vinny when I first turned it on. But we've had that. This was great for a whole different reason. Informative, concise and conveyed exactly what we all need to know.

TL;DR? Those of us who fell off the Division (I did the first and haven't even touched the sequel) probably need to get back on it.

I personally love the top ten segment, some of the best parts of GB content each week. All the hate from the community, in general, is pretty fucking toxic, man.
