Just found some more info on a German board. Seems like people are also getting these messages from other shops. Apparently there is a disc error on the German vanilla version of the game. The CE might not be affected. Some people believe it's a Halloween prank but I think it's a little early for that. Whatever it is, I hope there will be something official, soon.
Okay, I'm pretty sure now, that it's the shop's fault. I canceled my order with them and did a new one on Amazon. The moment I saw the Collector's Edition I had to take it. Now I'm 30 Euros up from my previous order. That's a lot of bucks for a cloth map. I hate it when I do that...
Have you checked other retailers by the way? Just checking a specific retailer, when they suddenly switch orders (Austrian to German) could mean that's the cause of the delay?

I have but the other retailers still have their release set to November 5. Like I said in a previous post: my retailer would have worded it differently in his email and it's one of the best and biggest online shops in Germany. They never eff things up but I certainly hope they did this time.

Said retailer was going to send out Austrian copies of DAO but he just got the message today that the German version was uncensored as well so he changed it. But the email was definitely saying that the game was delayed and not that they fucked up. This thing has me really on edge right now. I need this thing now. That character creator has only so much replay value.
I just got an email from the retailer of my choice, saying that the PC release has been delayed to November 26. I live in Germany and there is always something going on with the ratings and whatnot, so I just wanted to ask if anyone else has seen something about this delay. I don't think I'll be able to wait three more weeks. If it's just Germany I will definitely import it.
That last überbig community patch for Gothic 3 seems pretty good. I still hate how the arms of the character don't align with his shoulders on some armor but it's playable.
As for Risen: I think I've invested 40 hours so far. But with so few western RPGs coming out right now, I don't have anything else to play. It gets a lot of praise from german reviewers. I wonder how it will do in the US.
I loved the heck out of Gothic 2 but that game's a little old now. Risen looks and feels like a 2004 game to me but I love myself some retrogaming so whatever.
What?!!! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!111111 I thought I was gonna get my RPG fix sooner. Now I have to wait till November for Dragon Age. Seems like I'll be playing through System Shock 2 again.
