Major props to Jan for the chalk outline of Jeff's mic arm.

I do enjoy St. Anger, but this was a great episode. The bits of the doc that are spliced in are a nice bonus.

I really hope they don't put these animated clips in UPF anymore, as I'm not really a fan of that sort of content. It was just a huge turnoff and I skipped it when watching it the show on my own. Just let them be separate releases for people that want it like the other show that seemed to stop when the change happened.

There should be a Time to Dan timer for when Dan stops rattling off all of the things he doesn't know before Jeff is allowed to start the lesson.

I think it's 10:24 here.

Is Jeff's monitor suspended several feet above his head? What was that angle he was using to look at the info he looked up?

Seems like none of the video download options are working.

Love the twist in the discussion that turns it from just being a dumpfest on Green Day and this album.

Does Jeff not know how to spell Uranus?

It would've been fun for Jeff to tell Dan that Saturn's ring isn't a solid thing. That it's a ton of rocks and debris that have formed that ring. Also, the asteroid belt isn't as dense as the way Star Wars portrays that sort of thing.

It would've been nice if Jeff looked up that Voyager probe that's outside of the solar system and that it was launched in the 70s. That's ancient tech sending us data. NASA has a fun site with a lot of new data from the two Voyager probes that have been out there for over 40 years (link).

We've also had a probe flying around Jupiter and crashed into it at the end, at least in terms of burning up into nothing in the descent. They did the same with Cassini crashing into Saturn, though it also burned up and disintegrated at the end.

One request, Jan. Can you list the episodes being covered in the podcast descriptions? I'm looking to start listening along and have to listen to a bunch of the first episode just to hear what episodes it covers. I know you say four episodes per podcast, but it'd be nice to just reinforce that in the descriptions. Thanks!
