What a great game year this has been.
Not only did I manage to put a slim PS3 next to my 360... I even caught up with all the iPhone game hype which I'm not including here. To understand this list and its order I should mention that I'm not a multiplayer kind of guy. Apart from some Battelfield I didn't even try. And: I like it casual.
So look at this list as a best-of-single-player-2009-chart.
By far the game that I played the most this year.

Great classic shooter action. And probably my last 360 game because the console is so ugly and noisy.
My first PSN download and I finished it several times. With joy.
Yeah I know it's not a 2009 release but that's when I played it. And liked it a whole lot.
Oh SEGA. Keep selling me childhood over and over again. :-)
What about some new games? Push the quality guys. I know you can do it.
Had lots of split screen fun with a friend on this one. But ultimately this game it too hard for me.
Literally the 10th game that I bought this year and well well. The campaign is not that great. Monotonous checkpoint running, no character interest, no set piece connection, just crazy madness. i didn't even want to finish it which I eventually will tho. And I didn't play the multiplayer portion.
