"LOL its so people with no lives feel like they have purpose in the internets. WOW is for losers, COD4 how can you even compare tha to WOW it takes skill not time."
You do realize some WoW players have families, hobbies, etc? If someone doesn't enjoy the game, then that's their fault. Everyone seems to be using examples of "grinding" as a relative stereotype for all people playing the game. As with anything, it's dependent on the person. If someone doesn't like playing a game, then that's them, it's not all of us, and it certainly isn't anyone I know.
WoW is a video game. What is the point to it? To play it and have fun. It's a very immense game, so there's always something to do in it, and that would be why people spend so much time in it. Like with any game, there are accomplishments. Anyone who says there is no point to this game must despise any RPG, as in RPG's there is always time spent doing repetitive tasks (my husband managed to delete my hours of playtime on FFTactics, QQ).
In this sense, what is the point to any game, really? What is the point to COD4, to the entire Halo series, to any Metal Slug game? What is the point to ANY hobby, really. You do it because you enjoy it, and you get your little perks (in the form of achievements, things built, in-game loot obtained) along the way.
"Ok, I am not gonna blow it this time. Let’s see. Bun down. Then ketchup, then mustard, then pickles? No! That’s not right! Bun down. Mustard, then ketchup, lettuce, then the pickles? No! Mustard down, bun stuff down d'oh, where’s the patty go? Pickles, ketchup, wait! Think! Think! I’m losin’ it! Bun down, shoe, mustard, pan, bun...no! "
I'm glad Spongebob didn't stay disoriented, or else I wouldn't be eating a Krabby Patty right now.
