My best advice would be to use your perk points on extra weapons slots asap and then carry a rocket-launcher at all times. It will make being dogged by enemy choppers a lot easier when you're trying to explore. Grace is surprisingly good at sniping their pilots too, if she doesn't die first. Also, stealth doesn't seem like a consistent option. Outposts seemed to turn hostile even when I did silent takedowns and moved the body. Basically this game got more fun the more reckless I played.

The game world looks incredible on my XB1S, even though it doesn't feel particularly lived in. Once I got over the bad writing and just saw it as a sandbox for vehicle hijinx, mountaineering, and gunplay, it was easily worth the purchase in the end.

feeling a bit more positive about the gameplay after getting 2/3 through the game now. but one thing I can't stand, as @stanleypain hinted at, is the unnatural spawning of enemies. There have been times when I've cleared an outpost/building and then been told to secure the spot as more were on the way. I got in a small building with only one door to snipe and at one point an enemy had somehow spawned in the room behind me. How are we supposed to make an intelligent decision on positioning when reinforcements materialize out of nowhere as opposed to coming from a nearby area like Phantom Pain?

@sasnake: i was just explaining to you where that person being quoted got those 2 review scores from.

@dystopiax: yeah, i'm with ya. story is so bad i'm already just skipping every cutscene after 2 hours of play. the world is gorgeous though, and if I just put on music and tool around in an ATV or helicopter I have a pretty good time.

As I am going through the reviews of Far Cry 5 and found that the game is underrated still as it was the most anticipated game but IGN and many other big names rated this game 6 or 6.5 out of 10.

Why so?

IGN currently sitting at 8.9/10 and Gamespot at 9/10., I dunno what game you are talking about.

Giant Bomb: 3/5 = 6, Polygon: 6.5
