deathstroke75: Best of 2010

  • It wasn't a contest for me, this series has it's hooks in me since ME1. I love this universe and it's a game that I consume more than I play it. Most memorable moment: ending boss was lame, but realizing my crew had suffered because I did some side missions before taking the Omega relay. I knew exactly what to do with my Paragon run on it's run to prevent it.

  • If not for ME2, easily would have won. RDR knows how to impact the gamer very well. You get that great song as you cross into Mexico, and it feels so cinematic. Most memorable moment: My horse getting mauled by a drive by mountain lion and me wondering what the fuck just happened. Then I was mauled.

  • I would much more prefer an entry into the Burnout franchise, but a lot has to be said for Criterion taking what had become a joke of a franchise and putting it right back on top. And of course the game is great, best thunderstorm award goes to this game for sure. Memorable moment: One race trying to take a guy down and I couldn't, next retry...BAM, had him in just over a minute.

  • The game looks like what Clash of Titans should have been. I mean Ray Harryhausen would have loved the look of this thing. Combat felt great, murdering fools was awesome, and it just all felt so visceral and tight. Easily some of the best boss fights of the series. Memorable moment: I can't pick between the boss fights, they were all so good.

  • Honestly, I owe Giant Bomb big time to getting me into this franchise. I also have to blame them as well. :) I love the game, the time it kills is fascinating and frightening. Memorable moment: Having to bust out a nuke because no one would leave me alone.

  • This game just oozed atmosphere so well. The black and white look, the creepy eyes, the world just sucks you in. I hear you, it's on the shorter length, but that doesn't take away how great the game is. Memorable moment: Bear traps!

  • I had tried to get into the StarCraft games before, but for whatever reason they didn't hook me. Then bombcast after bombcast of listening to Brad, I got sucked into the purchase. And it's such a great RTS, I forgot how much fun I had with those back in the day. And the cinematics...dear lord. Memorable moment: Give me a 90 minute movie with those cinematics and I would be there hour one.

  • The Quick Look was what got me on this purchase, and I love this game. Either playing my brother and friends online, or just playing the PC...Risk just is a great pick up and play. I could have swapped this out with Pacman CE very easily but I think its the factor of having more time with this one that got it in here. Memorable moment: My army of 2 cats taking out 20 robots, fucking dice rolls!

  • The only reason I got this in at 9 instead of Bayonetta was the sci-fi. Crazy ass robots, rocket legs, tight gameplay, etc...it's a gamer's game. IF that makes any sense. Memorable moment: Giant fucking robot!

  • I think Bayonetta for all it's craziness is probably one of the best new IP's of the year. Sure the whole hair thing and over the top sex stuff is way out there, but it's so tongue in cheek it's funny. Gameplay for me is much funner than what DMC was, maybe it was just more accessible to me now, who nows. Memorable moment: Did I just make a Trex out of my hair?
