Regarding the "let's try 9 world with one game" text:
Some Nintendo games used to call lives "games" back then. For example, during Zelda: Link to the Past's credits, you see a summary of "games played", which just means how many times you got a Game Over.
As an owner of the PC version on EGS, it's a bit disappointing that I'd have to wait for the update. But at least it seems like it'll be out on PC Game Pass, so I can play it there until next year.
the idea of exclusive mode for anything except professional use boggles my mind though. Then again, I can't tell the difference between a high quality MP3 and FLAC so... 🤷♂️
WASAPI with exclusive mode is also really great for low latency audio. When you're using a program like an emulator (e.g. Dolphin or Retroarch), you're gonna want to use WASAPI with exclusive mode and the smallest audio buffer size you can for that basically perfect audio latency.
The only problem is that in exclusive mode, ONLY that program can output audio (think, kind of like exclusive fullscreen in games, where you only see the game). But IMO it's definitely worth it so I can hear the PEW sound of Mega Man shooting his gun when I press the shoot button, not after the bullet already left the gun.
As a fan of the Tales of games, I've counted maybe 4 different occasions when Wolfteam is brought up in a video, Jeff says, "I think they went on to make porn games" and someone else mentions "No, they became Namco Tales Studio" lol.
They've since been absorbed into Namco, so they technically don't exist anymore, though.
Sad Ben didn't like Shadow of the Ninja. Coincidentally I played it for the first time a month ago (along with some other late era NES games I missed) and thought it was really good, worth a playthrough.
I'm sorry to the fans of NES and SNES games who are bummed that their games haven't yet made it on the service, but a large part of me is happy Nintendo is giving good, lesser known games a chance to shine by not drowning out their announcements with other big games.
Honestly I like the full East team on quick looks. It's definitely more entertaining than with just two people, and we can hear multiple different perspectives and questions.
Ever since Puyo Puyo Tetris, I always go for the 3-wide well combos when playing. With a little practice, it's not hard to do that and get 8, 10, or more combo, and combos like that drop a gigantic load of debilitating garbage on your opponents.
