I just got done laddering for about 2 hours and I don't care what level of play you are, the most important thing imo after the basics is MAP CONTROL. Keep that in mind as you learn.
I was almost tempted to start a thread it was so obvious in the games I just played. You can do whatever you want if you have them scared to come out.

Well, probably but which is more important to them? Do you save your main (America) or your 3rd expo (Wallet/Some otherpolitical obligation or goal)?

I've been thinking the same thing... and Blizzard (Our government) really hasn't changed much since then. At first I thought the democrats would allow this so it would help Obama like it helped Clinton, but it appears it is far more serious then a government shut down. I expect the debt deal to be reached and this issue to pop up in another round of 3 at some later point in time.
@niamahai: It doesn't solve the problem, it's just like forge forward expanding to your natural as protoss. Your buying time.
The democrats want to delay the next discussion on this issue until after the next election, and the republicans want to delay it right up until before the election. They are just trying to position the tanks for the next engagement. What the end game strategy is, I don't really know, but from what I know about SC2 it probably means more tanks.
