Gettysburg Address isn't working. I've updated my status at least 3 times during the last week, and I'm still at 1/4. You aren't going to see many more completions as this one is no longer completable.
Don't do it! You have to maintain for subscription indefinitely or you lose the content! And content is only guaranteed for 3 years. The online support is going to be lousy. Buyer beware.
" Man, am I ever tired of fighting Ganon and collecting heart pieces. I really want a zelda that's something more than dungeon-bossfight-triforce piece-dungeon-bossfight-triforce piece repeated ad nauseum. "t
That's like saying that you want the next Half Life to be a turn-based RPG.
" @Knives: Are you really going to pull that weak argument out? Even if you exclude Twisted Metal, Sony has come out with at least 3-4 brand new IP's, all quality. Microsoft came out with Gears. Nintendo has not made a new flagship IP for the Wii.
"
I understand that. Apart from their casual games, you're right. But a good game is a good game. There is innovation and evolution in most Nintendo games, regardless of whether or not they're new IPs. Based on your definition of innovation, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is about as derivative as it gets, and yet it is one of the freshest, highest rated games of the generation. The same goes for Zelda. What they are doing with the sword control, they couldn't do with Twilight Princess. And fuck knows what else is going to be in the game, as we only saw a brief demo.
Shit, I respect risk-taking. Mirror's Edge and Heavy Rain are two of my favorite games this gen. But that doesn't mean every game or every game company should take that route. There should be a healthy balance between new and old, a balance that can't really exist in a recession.
You know what's less rational? Getting excited about Twisted Metal. Talk about an untested franchise. Twisted Metal 1, 3 and 4 were all kind of lousy games. Twisted Metal 2 and Black were great, and the reboot for the PS3 will probably be great, but c'mon..
