From what I can see, Steam operates itself like a console. This is unfortunate for consumers, at it limits options. However it also makes development for some things simpler, like matching, patches, etc. I'll likely buy the game because I want to play the game. The idea of playing these games in perpetuity is rare for me, but I imagine in the long run if people really think the game is a classic there will always be a way to play it (see: SCUMMVM, XBLA re-releases, etc.) Yes, you'll likely have to pay a smaller fee for it. Such is life.
People who are currently gaming with a stick, which are you finding to be the best option? TE stick, standard stick, maybe the Tekken 6 bundle stick? I'm not picking the game up until next week at the earliest, so I'm trying to solicit input before then.
You guys have any insight into how this will impact your gaming, or British gaming in general? Is there some weird Tory platform about banning all games with zombies in it or something that I don't know about? I'm not saying there aren't larger complaints, but since I haven't been there in a while I don't have a feel for their gaming prowess.
