Hey, thanks, man. Yeah, what I've gotten so far has been great. Excited to see the rest. I just have a handful of slots I'd like to see filled, like The Rookie from the game, for example. I want to be able to represent all the facets of the universe.

Everyone has those things that made them who they are, that one thing that stuck with them. Mine is Ghostbusters, and this is the least I could do to pay tribute to that.

I've gotten a lot of questions on twitter, and I thought I'd update it here, just to make things a bit clearer. It doesn't have to be drawn digitally, just as long as it's on a clean white. And, yes, there is a deadline, but not until the end of January. Thanks, everyone!

I've been a member of Giant Bomb since almost the beginning, and a lurker here for just about as long. And knowing the Giant Bomb community is the best group of duders on the internet, I thought I'd come here and ask you guys to be a part of my project.

You see, Ghostbusters holds a big place in my heart. Because of that, I wanted to do something special for the 30th anniversary coming up in June. Being an illustrator and graphic designer, I decided to get the help of others in the art scene with helping me amass a huge collection of drawings from the entire Ghostbusters universe.

There's a link to the Google Doc with all the info. Basically, the idea is you pick a slot, hit me up on twitter, and I'll reserve it for you. Then when everyone is all done, it'll be this huuuuge picture with drawings of characters from the movies, the cartoons, the game, and even the toys. Plus, there are way more possible characters - especially with the toys and ghosts from the show. So, if there's something specific you want, just let me know. Some of the artists have already finished their pieces, and boy, will you be in great company.

Thanks, duders.

Well, I ain't foolin'. It both runs and looks immaculately, even with DX11. Very happy with this set up, and I mean, it's no problem for me, now that I'm back home, I'm just thinking for future reference, or just the root of it to begin with.

I just looked, and it has a mini-HDMI out on the card, but I was using the one higher north. Is that the culprit?

Exactly. I didn't think it had any correlation. My video card is a GT545.

I'm pretty sure he was at 60hz, but even if it WAS 120, would that change my available video ram on the PC's end?

I searched all over online, and through these forums, but I still haven't found an answer, or even anyone with a similar problem.

I've got an Alienware x51 with

i7 3.4 ghz

6 gig RAM (1 gig devoted video)

Which runs Max Payne 3 at pretty much full specs at a solid 60 with no slowdown.

Last night, I take this rig over to my buddy's place to play a little, hook it up to his TV via HDMI, and my available video memory in the settings is around 500, less than half of what I am normally allotted. Needless to say, it ran like shit, and I had to turn everything down to the point that it looked worse than on a 360 and was barely playable with how choppy it was, pretty much negating the reason I brought it over in the first place. The resolution of the TV was higher than my monitor back home, yes, but I was still running it in 1680 like usual. We ended up just playing Driver San Fran, but even then, I had to drop the resolution down to around 1440 and turn off a lot of stuff, even then, very swimmy response time.

Back home now, I have all the video memory that I should and I have no idea what causes this kindof drop in performance, and what to do next time.

Thanks in advance if you have any ideas.

i'm thinking about starting an etsy store, and was wondering if anyone out there had any advice to get me started, or possible tips to make things easier. i make bound books, foam sculptures and steampunk stuff, so i'll mainly be working from commission. i just don't know where to start and if there is any widespread interest, thats all.
