Ben two things: (1) You really need to full clear each room in these games, you need the xp. Don't avoid early monsters especially. (2) If you kinda enjoy this game, I very highly recommend you check out NetHack, its basically rogue with a lot more stuff in it, classes, secrets, npcs, pets, belief system — the full shebang. It's great fun and my most favorite one! I would even call it the DARK SOULS of ROGUE games. ;)
I really prefer when I can listen to the cutscenes and dialogue when that is the part of the game were currently looking at. The quality of the voice acting is a major factor for me.
Dan, dont leave Georgopol, its one of the best loot spots on the map! You might want to check out a loot map (just google it) if thats of your interest.
Dan is playing with a controller? Wow. I would feel so disadvantaged. (maybe this is wrong but the aiming on the shot gun and the comment "it rumbled in my hands" convinced me that it is a controller)
Also the crate right now has mainly sniper rifles and scopes -- both which are super useful especially in mid game.
I'll pass on more forced wackiness from gbeast, thanks.
Even if this was a reasonable opinion, it one of those that accomplishes nothing. Adds nothing to the conversation, probably bums out everyone that reads it (including staff), and is zero percent constructive. At the end of the day, just kind of a jerk move. Be better than that!
I can't believe I'm doing this, but I'm gonna defend my friend here.
What do you want from a comment to accomplish, exactly? Constructive feedback? Then all the "Great stream" comments should be called out too, cause those don't add anything to the 'conversation' either.
And even if the staff reads this, do you think they actually give a damn? "I read this one comment and it ruined my day." What do you think, how many times did this scenario happen?
Look, even if I don't agree with Ripe here, I still think what he said was fine.
