When I'm feeling underpowered I'll go to a quest section and grind for a few battles to level up my characters. Quest areas have random battles so they won't count against your total turns. Past that I'm not really too far into the game, and unfortuneately there aren't as many quest areas as I'd like so far.

While the game is no Disgaea, it is still a pretty fun SRPG with it's own mechanics such as Soul Breeding. In addition there are also light dating sim elements where decisions you make during the course of the game will affect certain female's attitudes towards you. One of these females ends up as your bride, where you will procreate and have a child which inherits traits from each of you. This child is your new character for the next generation of play (there are 5 genereations to go through).

If you're into SRPGs then I'd give it a shot. It's been well recieved enough [in Japan] to warrent two other games, a prequel and a sequel. I'm hoping the other games make it outside of Japan as well.

Looks like I'll be needing to pick up a 3DS now. Game looks to be on par with Dead or Alive Ultimate, which still holds up pretty well visually; I'm guessing this game will be another version of Ultimate. After all, DOA2 has been ported to more systems than any other game in the series (Arcade, Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox, PC).

This must be the reason why the XBLA version had been cockblocked by Nintendo. The N64 version was split among Nintendo/Rare/Bond license holder. By featuring Daniel Craig and remaking maybe they're getting around the part Rare owns.

Having just got a jasper model at the beginning of the year it's kinda hard to justify upgrading. The redesign does look pretty nice though. The quick glimpse I saw of the HDD connector looked like standard SATA; wonder if a means of user upgradability will be found.

@AjayRaz:
Andriasang has an interview up with Itagaki covering Devil's Third.

The game looks like it's a ways off. Asked about the development state, Itagaki responded with a somewhat noncommittal "about 5 to 10%." "We've just started work. Of course, the base game engine is done." He also said to expect some interesting things during multiplayer combat, confirming that this will be a part of the game.

Seems odd to show a game so early indevelopment, but E3 would probably be a better target audience than TGS. Though to an in-engine trailer right off the bat instead of CGI is pretty impressive.

Looks good, I'm certainly excited to see more from the game. From what I've read the trailer is entirely from the multiplayer and single player hasn't been shown (according to the Famitsu interview the game is only 5-10% complete). Signature Itagaki style!

Being published by Aksys, I would imagine that a non-limited edition will be released later at a lower price as was done with BlazBlue and Record of Agarest War. In fact, that is probably why GameStop had the game disappear, then reappear at a lower pricepoint, only to be adjusted back to the original price again; they were adding a non limited edition.

I'm into shooters as I am into fighting games for the same reason, just for the fun in them. While I don't completely suck at them, I'm also not very good at them either as I'm not really into memorizing patterns and moves. Speaking of which, the combination of those two genres just got a sequel (Sendo no Ronde). Wonder if that'll get picked up as well?
