Fashion has always been a strange thing to me. The way it evolves is so odd and in a way doesn’t really make all that much sense to me. One day something is all the talk and jazz and then the next it’s the butt end of a joke. Every decade there is a whole new style that just rises and dethrones the last. It’s how it gets that way that throws me off. Is it a massive subconscious or conscious effort to move on to the next big thing? When do we just sit there and say, “Hey it’s time to ditch this and go for this.”?

I just kind of thought about this on a whim just now but it really kind of perplexes me. It’s taken on its own life in our society. In another time period there might be a Queen or King that could or would dictate the fashion of that period based on personal opinion but we don’t necessarily have that this day and age.

I stress the idea that it is something weird for me to get my head around because it just seems like another cycle in this big thing we call life. It seems weird to look back and say, dang that looks dumb yet at the time it was all the fuss and the fashion or apparel of the yesteryear was the thing getting the hazing and then as time unfolds we begin to look back and say dang that actually looks cool I want to bring that back; obviously some era’s get that more than others.

I sort have always just incorporated multiple styles and had my own? At least I think I do, though admittingly I can have some pretty generic or stereotypical outfits to identify with a sub-culture of people in the world.

I just want to know how the cycle works; is it coincidence or is it organized?
