I got a code for Assassins Creed 4 with a GPU purchase. I was excited to play it but had stopped midway through Assassins Creed 2 some years earlier and decided that I had to finish it first. The fistfight with the pope convinced me to keep going on through Brotherhood and Revelations, only for 3 to squander all my interest in the story they were trying to tell.

Vinnyitus ended up introducing me to my favorite games in the series, but also caused me to enjoy 4 less as I was getting tired of the formula and had mentally checked out of the present-day portion of the story.

I've been playing VR modded GTA 5 in first person and trying to convince my body and mind that I'd be okay jumping from the top of a scyscraper was a pretty harrowing experience.

And no matter whichever game you choose you can always just pick the other one for cheap during a sale.

In the light of all this I wonder if all this work at home stuff has not had the benefit of actually preparing the GB crew for an event where they might have to strike out on their own. Obviously it would not be ideal and there are perks to being a part of a larger entity but at least they have solved a lot of production issues they would not have had the chance to figure out if they were still in the office and the worst were to happen.

I'm still early on but would be down to play with others once I make it far enough. Seems kinda cool so far?

So it was this minigame collection for the PS1 and one of the games maybe involved you dressed up as penguins and pushing each other around on an ice platform. It was definitely Japanese but can't remember more than that.

I could see Spiritfarer being the year's indie darling that lands somewhere near the bottom of the list.

Haven't seen my favorites Alien Isolation and Soma mentioned yet.

@lkennedyl: And by having you be on a clock you're forced to make more quick decisions which sometimes result in fun and tense disasters.

@mobiusfun: Agreed that its still very rough in spots, especially when dealing with air decompressing or reactors blowing up. Then again they're at least a year off from being done with EA so plenty of time to optimize. The 15 minute time limit seems to be a hot topic on the steam forums and the devs are very much into having that conversation so who knows where things go in the future.
