Jeff's MvC3 Rating Debacle

After listening to the bombcast and watching the quicklook, I've gained alot more respect for Jeff, and whiskey media in general, about how the rate games for review.  I've always held them in high esteem, but i really appreciate the fact that he is considering so deeply how to accurately review it, not solely based on surface opinion.  He has explicitly said that the hardcore level is not for him, and that he does not like it very much. However, he goes on to give it praise about how well made it is, despite some introductory flaws.  I realize that even though people should be able to form their own opinion of a game, without solely going on one person's review, but many people, myself included, put alot of stock in what the GB staff have to say about the games - they are the professionals.  Even if Jeff gives the game a 3, i'm glad he is at least willing to give it a good score (if it deserves it), even if he does not like the game.

My mini rant is over, props to GB staff for being awesome.

Rock Band 3 All Instruments Mode: OK Idea, Poorly Implemented

I get the idea of it, but it just doesn't hold in practice.  Me and two of my friends wanted to play (two guitars and the keyboard); however, it would not allow the the third person to drop in without putting on all instruments mode.  This essentially, cuts out any on stage performance by your band, and puts it against a "music video" background at all times, so you are unable to actually see your character on stage.  Not to mention it took a good ten minutes to figure out why they wouldn't let the third person log in.  Also, in this mode, there is still only 4 people on screen, with whoever was supposed to be playing keys just singing.  I don't understand what is that difficult about adding one person who pretty much stands in one place to the stage and showing it in front of an audience.  The idea of putting the vocals on karaoke mode so it can score the main four people is ok, but all the hoops you have to jump through just to have all three of us in at the same time is just stupid.  I love the game, but this just seems like them being too lazy to program the extra person or have five "drop in" slots at the bottom.

Changes to the Giant Bombcast on iTunes Due to Subscriptions?

I rarely have time to just sit at my computer and just listen to the Giant Bombcast, so i usually just stick with downloading it via iTunes and listen with my headphones or in my car.  If the only way to hear the full Bombcast the day it is released is to have a subscription, what does that mean for the the podcasts downloaded from iTunes?  If I pay for the subscription, is there a way i can still get the full version right away?  At the very least, I assume it will just be fully released a week later to correspond with the free release to nonmembers, but I would like it to be available up to date if a big part of subscribing is to receive this very feature from the site.  What is the future of the Giant Bombcast on iTunes?
