Honestly I would compare it more to the Witcher 3 - there is a predefined character and story that you are playing and you can't set their personality or motivations much, but you do set a lot of their choices. Dragon Age dialogue selections have a lot of flavor decisions - be a noble hero, a dick, a smooth operator, etc. Whereas Geralt is Geralt, gruff and salty no matter what you do, but you do make some choices as far as who he helps, who he lets live, that sort of thing. I think this will be more like that.
