He likes Naruto, and thinks it's the best to him, let him do so. Let's keep the maturity level and keep from throwing out the F word because your dissatisfied. All you can do is advice him other anime's out there that have great story-lines and leave it as that. Be constructive and advice your favorites and have him check it out? Simple neh?
I think you've misunderstood me. I'm not dissatisfied because I don't share the OP's opinions, I'm dissatisfied because the OP has either a) presented a twisted argument as legitimate logic, or b) directly equated popularity to quality. In the former case, it's perfectly reasonable to point out the central (but certainly not the only) incoherence of his assertion. And in the latter, it's perfectly reasonable to use THE FORBIDDEN F-WORD to express my irritation at such idiocy. I have no problem that "he likes Naruto, and thinks it's the best to him [(?)]." My issues stem not from the opinion itself, but from its presentation (garbled) or its logic (invalid); therefore, I have very little interest in following your suggestion to "advice [(?)] him other anime's out there that have great story-lines and leave it as [(?)] that." Even if I did, I would have to assume that my "advic[ing]" would fall on deaf ears; I really doubt that someone who can't distinguish between the numbers four and five is hugely interested in opinions that differ from his own. So let's keep the the maturity level and keep from condescending to someone whose point you can't even bothered to comprehend.  Also: fuck. "
Well.

Fuckity, fuck, fuck, fuck.

But I only said you didn't need to curse because simply YOU DIDN'T NEED TOO. Not because it's forbidden. It's because we have plenty of words int he English language worth using, so there is no need to get cross and or become a little smartass. Let him have his garbled logic, perhaps this person is young, early teens and likes it and thinks it's the best and wants to defend why, why bother and get mad about it?
Well I suppose I would never need to curse, if you want to be like that. And if we have plenty of words in the English language, why did YOU use "plenty"? Why not say "an abundance of words"? Semantics aside, it seems like our misunderstanding stemmed primarily from a difference in opinion in the gravity of the word "fuck" (though you suddenly seem not to mind, now that you want to prove a point; not quite sure what's up with that). So why don't you just let me keep my opinion, and I'll let you keep yours.

Also, NEVER ask me not to be a smartass. That's one thing I simply cannot do.

P.S. Also, Naruto did not "literally explode". I think you confused the word "literal" with its antonym, "figurative". It has figuratively exploded, NOT literally. You're welcome.

Same as OP, primarily (though it looks all but assured that we'll hit the 5000 mark and regain open Bombcast... or has it already happened? I'm not sure). I love the site and I'd love to support them, but come on:

What am I going to lose if I don't buy any of this?
Sorry, you must be thinking about someone else. We're in the not pissing off the Internet business."

It does piss me off that free users would have lost the whole current Bombcast, and it does piss me off even more that Whiskey straight-up lied about it. "You must be thinking about someone else"? Really? To go back on such an adamant promise is just a shitty thing to do. Again, the matter at hand doesn't appear to be an issue anymore, but it seems like Whiskey added the 5000 subscriber/open Bombcast clause because people were angry not about the broken promise, but about it's implication. Looking at it as a matter of principle, I just can't subscribe before they have in any way acknowledged the full gravity of this mistake, let alone directly apologized for it.

I feel bad for even having thought the following at all, as I don't want to turn into one of those retarded conspiracy-theorist-types that plague gaming sites like this, but it's not impossible that the split-Bombcast idea was originally meant as a threat, and that Whiskey had planned on the 5000 subscriber stipulation before all the negative feedback... I certainly don't want to believe that, but it's not impossible... "No harm, no foul" doesn't really apply here: Giant Bomb and Whiskey Media have lost some of my trust over this snafu.

Also (yeah, even more reasons), $50/year is a lot of money for a feature set that I don't think I'd use that much. I don't have a smartphone (yet), and wouldn't use it for GB that much if I did; I'm not a quality snob at all; I'm not really interested in wearing a website-branded shirt (though if I had to, GB would admittedly be my first choice); and I don't mind an ad here or there -- this is still a source of concern for me, as Whiskey could start adding ads all over the place for free users without technically having gone back again on the "not pissing off the Internet business" promise; the only new feature I'm significantly interested in is the Friday live show, but I don't think I could justify to myself paying all that money for it, especially as only two of the five Whiskey sites cater to my interests.

Maybe if they added some sort of tiered service (Jeff was just recently talking about how a tiered XBL model would be preferable to the price-hike, right?), I would be able to get over my aforementioned reservations regarding the split Bombcast ordeal. Or maybe I'll be converted if, going forward, more features are added and fewer promises are broken. But for now, I'm standing firmly against subscriptions.

The Daily Show is probably my favorite. Colbert and the Late Late Show aren't far behind, though.

" The Dark Knight."
This. I can totally understand that someone might simply not enjoy the gritty superhero genre; but I've talked to a disturbing number of people who've actually tried to convince me that the script is uninspired, the characters uninteresting, the acting unremarkable, and the action scenes stupid (well, the Batpod wall-flip-turnaround is a little ridiculous; I'll give them that).

As for Children of Men, I don't see much not to like. I wouldn't call it a masterpiece-- I just don't think it's quite ambitious enough-- but it succeeds in everything it does.
