Brutal, but I kind of agree. After the initial euphoria of flying around in shiny armor wears off there's basically nothing left to enjoy. RIP BioWare.
I'm sure I'll play the hell out of it just like the last Horizon; I've come to enjoy them more than their simulation counter parts. I agree with the horrible AI though... it's awful (in the main series too). The computer drivers race as if you're not even there, slamming into and spinning you out like mindless cruise missiles. I can ultimately deal with it but it does seem like something that would be relatively easy to fix for such seasoned developers in the genre.
At the end of day, if the game is as fun to play as H3 than I'll be happy with my pre-order.
I love God of War but I am totally on board with making changes to the "murder everything" style of the games' past offerings. Copy should arrive tomorrow by the time I get home from work; I've been looking forward to it. Hopefully ends up being a GOTY contender, so long as Jeff doesn't forget about it this time around...
Dying to try this game out, despite Jeff's middle-of-the-road review. I feel like asking and expecting a AAA developer, that isn't Naughty Dog, for a good original story in today's market is simply foolish. It seems like nearly everyone else is enjoying it quite a bit despite a handful of critics and players that wanted more substance. The game takes place in Montana, which has been overrun my crazed rednecks doubling as religious fanatics... what exactly were you expecting in terms of a storyline?
I didn't much care for MGS V, so I don't think I'll even bother with this garbage. The reviews on Steam paint a grim picture of the industry's "cash grab" price model that caters toward prepubescents and their allowance. I can't say for sure if it's as bad as this review states but I'm also unlikely to find out for myself.
Was waiting to see H:ZD @ numero uno spot but PUBG at least made me lol.
Whoever says Horizon is a generic game clearly hasn't played it for more than 10 minutes. Also, if same person doesn't state the same of PUBG... ??? That game looks and plays like it's from 2006.
